Better Than I'd Hoped
wiluxe-26 September 2022
I hadn't seen the Korean version on which this is based, but I don't care - this will do fine. Decent acting, good stories, memorable characters, and very good filmmaking. Entertaining. I don't ask for much more. I don't watch a series expecting "Citizen Kane" - level excellence. It's 2022, and I just want my film experiences to be worthwhile. And they are - it's a golden age of filmmaking we're living in, and I'm thrilled that Asian cinema is among the best stuff out there.

I'd like to know more about individual actors here and how they and the Korean actors differ in their characterizations differ. And how alike and us alike the different series are. It's a shame the Korean version isn't on Netflix, as this one currently is, for comparison.

When the Danish/Swedish series "The Bridge" was released, it was so profoundly great that there was produced a French/English version ("The Tunnel") and an American/Mexican version ("The Bridge") , neither of which could compete with the Scandinavian original; should there be an American or English version of "The Voice," it will have a built-in audience. Maybe - the American/Mexican version of "The Bridge" was pretty awful.

A gripping Thai crime drama
Tweekums11 November 2023
This Thai cop series, based on a Korean original which I've not seen, is centred on two police officers; Captain Irin, who leads 'Golden Time' a group who take phone calls and react immediately and Lt Aran who, initially unwillingly, works for the unit. The two have a connection; Aran's wife and Irin's father were killed by the same man on the same night... Irin's testimony leads to the prime suspect going free. She also has unusually good hearing that frequently proves vital in investigations. They are reunited on the new team three years later. Eventually they work together to identify the killer; somebody with powerful connections in business, politics and the police.

I thought this was a really enjoyable series. It got off to a great start with a really gripping opening. Once our protagonists are brought together it progresses nicely with good character development throughout the series. There are some stand-alone investigations but the central mystery is never forgotten. The identity of the killer isn't made clear for some time although I'm sure most viewers will guess the identity before it is revealed. It does require some suspension of disbelief as characters in danger manage to stay on the phone long enough for the team to find them. The end wraps things up nicely so one doesn't have to worry about starting a series that has no proper ending. The cast is solid; especially the main characters. Overall I found this well worth watching.

These comments are based on watching the series in Thai with English subtitles.

One of the worst Police Dramas EVER!!!!
ercarvajal20 December 2020
This show is so bad that I don't even know where to start. Just watch the Original Korean Show, do not waste your time with this pile of excrement. I really don't know how Netflix dares to add this to their catalog.

Lets start with the Acting; I've seen many Thai movies, but even if you compare this acting to those Action-oriented flicks with almost no dialogs, this beats them all, the show kept putting actors in very emotional situations, and they delivered the lamest acting I've seen from Thailand so far.

The writing is ridiculous, the characters end in the most unusual, exaggerated and absurd situations just to push a plot-line that is telegraphed to viewers. You can tell everything is going to happen in the episode just by watching the first few minutes. The writers created the show of the most inefficient police corps ever, imbecile police officers, criminals that do not seem to know how to use the guns they just took from cops, cops can't shoot, bad guys can't shoot, and so on.... oh you'll see the typical bad guy discourse act before killing a good guy, the worst manhunts ever, every bad cliché possible; this show is selling Thai police as unprepared, lacking the most basic tools and procedures, to the level of a country in the midst of war with no government.

The characters are the most unlikable ones that you can find in a show. Both lead roles are filled with so many flaws and they make so many infantile mistakes that you can bear to watch any more minutes of this nonsense, and considering that their poor acting performance, this is simply like going to Television Hell. These officers are very unprofessional even for 3rd world country standards.

OMG, I thought that at least they would bring the world renowned action sequences the Thai Cinema handles so well, good action... but no, probably due to actors limitations (don't know how to fight), action scenes are pitiful...fights, car chases, on foot persecutions, they all look like made by students experimenting for coursework.

AVOID WATCHING THIS... you would do way better watching the 2 seasons of the original Korean show.
