Oligarchy is not synonymous with community.
christinegibbs-0509430 September 2020
Honestly, I would rather watch what happens next in the community happening without Jennifer and Andrew. I don't think Oliver wants to be in a community either. Those three are loners. They have it in their heads that they are the only ones doing anything for themselves. Communities in Alaska let others live and rise to help each other out when needed. Andrew and Jennifer are controlling. They don't thank the others for what they have done in their contributions. I mean even poor Oliver that really wanted to provide for his community failed but perhaps he wouldn't have if Jennifer and Andrew had just reached out to him about what they know. They are lazy. They don't communicate with others but they expect others to check in with them about all matters. It's not a community. It's an oligarchy.

I did not like Andrew or Jennifer, but I hope they continue with at least the other 5. Sorry but I am hooked on it.

Jennifer and Andrew are psychos!
jeffreyrd29 March 2021
Community ... I don't think they really understand the concept. They belong in the wild, living isolated from other humans.

I liked the other characters ... even Daniel Boone.

Like the show. Dislike the 2 who feel they are in charge
yeagertowing26 September 2020
I really like this show. But it seems that Jennifer and Andrew feel they are the leaders. How come Jennifer is the only one not losing weight like everyone else. And props to Oliver.

Is there any reason why "100 days wild" has just...stopped...at Episode 7?

Really like the show. Hate the 2 "leaders"
ujyxgby28 September 2020
Really entertaining show. I like it a lot. When it comes to Andrew and Jennifer they're like a lot of people in general. When everyone else is always the problem, the problem is you. Love the rest of the 5 and it would be nice to see them start their own community next season

The more you relate to the cast the better the show feels
joseph-164114 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Overall the show had a slow start but I got invested in the past few episodes (due to drama). Premise is kinda basic but since there is such a small cast it's the people that carry the show. The two "leaders" are annoying but the other 5 people seem nice and fun to watch. Would watch a 2nd season but seems unlikely due to other reviews

Worthless deadbeats in charge
raceva30 September 2020
The two that are supposedly in charge are worthless. All they do is go out on that boat and catch dead fish and we can't forget complain about everything. If they want things done their whay why aren't they doing it themselves. For two people that supposedly live there why is it that they know what the fishing is like but continue to catch dead fish just so they can have something else to complain about. They just want for people to do what they want, when they want, and how they want it done. Where are they when the actual work is being done having tea.

Good show, enjoyed it, apart from the obvious.
kmpuggy-1997421 December 2020
And the obvious being, Jenn and Andrew, used the others to get them to stock up for winter, and then made them not feel welcome.

Oliver reminds me of Emily's Dad Steve Riedel from Bering Sea gold, proper eccentric, i feel he was put into the show to create drama.

The others are a decent bunch, would be nice to see another series, but cant see that happening.

The community
libertyministries18 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It can only truly exist without Jennifer and Andrew, they act like they are setting up a tribe with him and her as chief of all. The only community they will ever create will be if Jennifer starts popping out babies of their own. It's a shame they don't see themselves and the division they cause. Especially because their vision was to have a group of people with like like minds working together for the benefit of them as a whole group vs the stock pile of food they boarded for themselves everyone their lost weight except for them two. Wicked people. I'd love to watch the next season with these two gone from the show Oliver and the others made this show awesome

"No Leaders Here" LOL
Holy sh1t, Andrew and Jennifer didn't want a community, they wanted a cult. Interesting premise, would have been cool to see if the rebelling faction could have stuck it out.

Bring it back waiting to see
comet-127911 October 2021
Please bring this back and let us see what happened and if it's over like any show you should at least produce a last episode that sums things up. I love this type of show and these people wanted a commit and they wanted to just live there in there own. They weren't trying to own everything they just know how it has to be and need to get every started and in synch before winter and they just want to do what they want not what is needed.

'Nutless Hippies?'---Oliver
coe-0667119 September 2020
Beautiful Alaskan scenery corrupted by weird millenial misfits. I think that Oliver is on the edge. He appears to be somewhat unstable, though likeable. However---one wrong move or word by one of this clique-ish clan could result in him sending the whole tribe of male hippies packing downriver...leaving him as patriarchal protector of the ladies. Maybe that would improve the show?

Andrew and Jennifer should be kicked out
sarcil17 January 2021
Two stars because I like everyone else including Oliver except dictators Andrew and Jennifer. If both of these hitlers started the colony I think everyone should leave their colony and start their own. That would be an amazing show. To the guy commenting Jennifer doesn't do squat, I've always wondered where she goes when she's not eating or cooking lol.

LOVE THE SHOW IF ANDREW AND JENNIFER WERE GONE
hhurst-233665 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I love this show, but found myself getting very irritated with Andrew and Jennifer. For wanting a "community" they sure were not community minded. Seems they wanted to reap the benefits of a community but expected everyone else to do all the work. I am so glad they all decided to leave. I hope the show returns with the group minus Andrew and Jennifer.

Above expectations
ilja-juntunen8 August 2023
I agree with most that has been said about Andrew and Jennifer. But that's what actually gives the show a little depth. You can't hide from human emotions aka drama by moving to the wild. People will not be great simply because they are living closer to nature or whatever you want to call it. So to all of us who are going back to the office: don't be an Andrew. Don't be a Jennifer. Got a problem with someone (Oliver)? Knock on his tent and say: "Hey buddy, we need your help over here" and then say "Thanks" "You good?" "Slept well?" "Any nice dreams about Pat Boone last night?" Smile. Andrew should get a vasectomy and move with Linda to a place where other people don't exist.

Funny, entertaining Survival show
abelbeck-4818727 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Love all the characters apart from Jenifer and Andrew, but there conflict with Oliver is what makes the shows so fun to watch. Hopefully it gets renewed for season two so we can see how the community is without the two communist dictators.

Enjoyed the show BUT
scottiechelini8 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
SUPER FRUSTRATING --Andrew and Jennifer were ridiculous. If you don't want somebody in your camp then don't have another "tennant" do your dirty work. Unreal. They were more concerened with how Adam and Evan would help them in the future than whether they were ok. They come back to the camp and haven't eaten any meat because they've been gone and ol Andy and Jenny don't think it's a good idea for them to take any meat back. You two deserve eachother-- I would never recomend anybody ever being a part of thier "community" in the future. Hope Oliver is doing well along with the other cast members-Peace!

Community?
skp-4327116 December 2020
How did Jennifer and Andrew decide the concept of community can be tight if living quarters are 10 to 15 miles apart through the wild of brush and snow? It's not like, "Come over, we need a fourth for bridge". Ridiculous plan. If they wanted everyone to pitch in on every project, they should have built a condo. Additionally, they are terrible leaders who believe they are always right, and those who disagree are troublemakers. Besides, the only person roughing it is a Oliver. Everyone else has power tools, shotguns, and fishing tackle. Also, I'm not in favor of the trapping. It's a brutal way to die.

Exactly why socialism never works
nick-6439016 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Andrew and Jennifer want to create a fair and equitable community. Everyone has a say and everyone's opinions matter. However I'm actuality their opinions only matter. They want to control the community. Ofcourse they live in a nicely built cabin while the rest of the community lives in tents and quickly built stick homes. Not to mention they are in complete control of the food supply. And it all comes crumbling down.

Wow! Thanks for the warning!
sdowning-3727412 June 2022
I actually really enjoyed this show. The best thing about it, though is that it warned people about Jennifer and Andrew, who lured people in to build a "community," but who actually seemed to be more interested in developing some sort of cult. They were the most oblivious megalomaniacs I've ever seen, thankfully. I kid you not, though, I half expected Andrew to run out of his cabin to shoot the other characters at the end. What a couple of scary people...they don't even know how scary they are, just go straight to victim mode. The scariest thing about them is they can't see that they're wrong, and freaky.

The show succeeds in spite of itself. It does however fall into the same traps as other shows of it's kind, focussing so much on the creation of drama that we don't get to learn much about fishing, trapping, skinning, preserving meat, making snowshoes.

I'd love to see a show that focusses at least as much on how-to as it does on drama.

I don't see how you could make a season two of this mess, with the same people, but I'd like to know how the others fared after the show ended.

Those two make the show unwatchable. Get rid of them and Illwatch again. I love the rest of the cast and what they bring to the group.

Started Slow but Getting Awesome Now
MK191127 September 2020
This show started pretty slow and choppy and we almost had given up on it but by episode 3 we were all in. It's a great show that really questions what the meaning of "community" Is and how the leadership should be directed as well as all the drama that follows because of it.

By far the best survival show of 2020 next to Alone.

Give it a shot. These other reviews rated based on the initial episodes but it gets MUCH better along the way.

Get rid of Andrew and jennifer
danadamax14 February 2024
Started watching because I like the concept. But just like other communities they say no leaders but meanwhile the ones that started it are the leaders. Why do they want a community when they sent people out to starve while those people do all the work? I will stop watching because of them.

And then Oliver. I feel sorry for him. Sometimes people need time and play a different role in a community, like him making leather, they could have used his skills. Sorry for Adam and Evan. I hope they will start their own community without the dictators. Probably stop watching. Does anyone know whether Andrew and Jennifer leave?

Could have been great
xxdarkmetal27 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Andrew and Jennifer ruined this series....dictating everything and everyone... NOT A UTOPIAN community...otherwise it would have been great show to watch. Adam and Evan are great. And I feel Oliver could have grown given a chance...he was a character.
