I was quite intrigued how this film came into existence. While its authors are French it is completely acted in Romanian, and it has a feeling of authenticity and freshness. As I learned the film was a result of a project which brought young French film-makers into a village in Romania, had them organize workshops of cinema, screen and talk about movies with the local people. And yes, they made this short film, the story of two teenagers in a country village whose lonely mother keeps the local restaurant, facing the troubles of fears of their age. They look somehow strange and different, and we do not know if this look is because of that age that always feels different or some other shade alluded in the title crosses their destiny. With the help of the local actors the film looks and sounds very Romanian, which is maybe the best compliment it can really get.

...not real authentic. But plausible. A girl, her mother, a young brother, a sort of party, the rape. And the other. For a Romanian viewer - nothing new because it is just the reflection of near Romania used by many directors after 1989. A painful reality. Eccentric or fascinating or bitter or fascinating for the French makers of film but far to be more than a sketch - the dialogues are the basic motif. Short, a slice of Romania. Not comfortable. Maybe, for foreign public, interesting , against its status of sketch.
