A Beautifully Crafted Film

Warning: Spoilers
If you love this genre, you'll love this film. I did! It is beautifully curated.

Thomas W. Gabrielsson's poignant portrayal of patriarchal entitlement, is a deep dive into the psyche of a generation content to blame and obfuscate, with gripping consequences. Mirja Turestedt's character is complex and powerful; she's strong yet flawed; intelligent but trapped, forced to confront her own relevance. This character is accomplished, aware of the power of her voice, but inwardly in crisis, unable to advocate for herself in a healthy, meaningful way. Mirja is compelling in this role. Anna Prochniak's performance was moving and sincere; a determined yet sympathetic character. The camera loves Kris Hitchen, who manages to completely capture the attention of the audience whenever he is on screen.

This film has been beautifully and meticulously crafted, a brilliantly adapted screenplay, it is balanced, delicate, intricate, and nuanced; the casting is inspired, and the actors move through the film with grace and precision. The cinematography is superb, a character unto itself, the landscape is vivid with autumnal colors and the natural lighting captures the mood perfectly, ensuring the transition between scenes is seamless. Set against a stunning backdrop, the score elevates the film, skillfully taking you on a journey that remains long after the film has finished.

The detail evident in the making of this film ensures the audience is completely immersed, from beginning to end. I loved it!!

Great cinematography and story

Love the cinematography and also the story.

Wasn't sure what to expect except that it was a thriller.

Once the movie started it engaged me right away as I am very keen on women's issues. I could see that the main character was struggling in her marriage. She was cold towards her husband and it was only later where I realised why. I don't blame her. She is smart and accomplished and seems that when she met her husband he was already very successful. Only later did she also become successful and come into her own.

Her story is one that is global. The struggle between men and women, power, fame and fortune.

Beautifully paced & visually arresting

Warning: Spoilers
Unmoored weaves you through the unplanned killing of a Swedish TV presenter's husband, and her unraveling. The story is handled with a slow gripping pace as you uncover what leads up to this moment and what comes after. Unmoored is beautifully written, with the suspense building like a vice slowly and almost imperceptibly tightening, until you suddenly realize you've been holding your breath and on the edge of your seat. The cinematography is moody and beautiful, a perfect compliment to the storyline. This movie does not talk down to you and allows the viewer (for a change) to interpret what's going on rather than being spoon-fed the nuances of the story. Highly recommend!
