Bowen Yang announced that he will be taking a break from his podcast Las Culturistas to focus on his own mental health.
He posted a short statement over the weekend on his Instagram story.
“Taking a very short break from [Las Culturistas],” he wrote. “Bad bouts of depersonalization are f—ing me up bad, but I am doing my best to get better! Please take care, back soon.”
Yang has co-hosted the show since 2016 with Matt Rogers. They focus on pop culture and have had many celebrity guests on air, including Andy Cohen, Reneé Rapp, Keke Palmer and Kelly Clarkson.
Depersonalization is a serious mental disorder where a person will constantly feel like they are not in their own body and are observing their actions from outside. Each person’s experience with the disorder is different and it is also possible that you can feel like things around you and your life aren’t real.

This one ought to get your tails wagging. HBO Max released the trailer for absurd dog-grooming competition “Haute Dog” on Tuesday — these pooches will make your family pet look like a mangy mutt.
On “Haute Dog,” celebrity dog groomer Jess Rona leads the judges panel as three dog groomers face off in two rounds of fur ball fur-cutting, with the Best-in-Show winner walking away with $10,000 and a first place rosette.
Or as the logline puts it: “These doggy makeover wizards compete to turn the K-9s into K-10s.”
Matt Rogers hosts the show; Robin Thede is a judge.
Relish the “Haute Dog” trailer (you better have seen what we did there) via the video above.
The series was inspired by celebrity dog-grooming expert Rona’s social media presence and coffee table book “Groomed.”
Jax Media’s Tony Hernandez, Brooke Posch and Séamus Murphy-Mitchell will executive produce along with Nicolle Yaron and Rona.
