Dave meets a family that thinks it's a tragic waste to turn a perfectly good junk car into scrap, or at least not until it's totally destroyed in a demolition derby. Next, he's off to Sommerset for the medieval battle of his life. Then Dave sees a boat race that would make Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater proud.

Dave joins a paintball team to play capture the flag where the "flag" is a living, breathing Bigfoot. Still anxious for competition Dave enters a boat race. But no fiberglass and teak for Dave. These boats are hand crafted from state of the art cardboard. Then Dave meets a man constructing the ultimate suit of armor.

Dave visits the Bonneville Speedway to set a personal best speed record and meets others trying for world titles in some curious categories. He joins a group of students who take their share of bumps and bruises learning to be a rodeo clown, alias; bull target. For a finale imbued with culture and artistry Dave partakes of a freestyle canoeing competition.

A secret society operating untested, unlicensed vehicles at maximum speed and it's perfectly legal; that's gravity racing and Dave is ready for a go. Then Dave, ex-marine and experienced hunter, is back in school learning to hunt with birds. And for this he needs a license? Then, fresh from the pumpkin chucking competition Dave visits some folks using really dangerous ammo; fruitcakes.

In his ongoing search for obscure racing surfaces Dave finds an ice track where he races a vintage snow mobile. Staying with the ice theme Dave meets two guys building the ultimate Rube Goldberg machine; a mouse trap game in ice sculpture. Finally, another Olympic wannabe, Dave competes, sort of, in the game we all know and love, dodge ball.

Dave finally found a race with no fear of getting hurt. He's driving a tank though an obstacle course which, of course, is bad news for the obstacles. Dave meets a couple guys who love dolphins so much they design boats that look like dolphins, swim like dolphins and even porpoise like dolphins. If you ever wondered what it's like for the dogs pulling a dog sled, join Dave in a human dog sled race.

Dave learns that sitting on a barstool may not mean you're a lush. You might be dreaming up a great new gravity game like barstool racing. Next, our ex-marine is back in his element at sniper school. Then Dave dons skis, grabs a rope and races down main street behind a horse in a crazy little race known as ski jorring.
