Feels Like Halloween Watching This Show!!
deputyagoins2 October 2023
I really enjoy watching this show, each contestant brings a different skill to the table. I enjoy seeing what each contestants take is on each challenge. I wish there were more episodes and perhaps a partner challenge. They use some really huge pumpkins in season two. I had no idea blue pumpkins existed. It's really sad when they drop a pumpkin right near the end of time and must use an alternate plan that is not nearly as good as the original idea. Carving in the windy and cold temperatures must be difficult, hands and fingers going numb. The producers should bring all the $25,000 winners for an ultimate challenge of $100,000.

The only thing that truly disgusted me Was having to look at judge Marc Evans nasty yellow teeth, I think they were more yellow and orange than the pumpkins carved.

Needs a More Knowledgeable Host
rytme-826684 October 2023
This show is awesome! I love to watch the creativity and imagination shown in the carvings done by the contestants. I wish I had these skills myself, but I am content watching othesr more skilled perforn the challenges. Where this show fails is that the host of the show is a Food Network star instead of someone who knows their stuff about carving pumpkins and sculpture. None of the hosts has really added any value to the experience. Please, bring in someone who has done pumpkin carving, like the judges have, who knows the medium and can add some interesting POV to the show. I'm sure there are plenty of them out there who have a nice personality and can host the show as well.

Outrageous and Amazing!
navigate101-126 September 2023
I began watching season 3 of Outrageous Pumpkins and I am hooked! The incredible creations these carvers come up with are just amazing. I especially like the pumpkin patch and how it's set as a backdrop for the show. I have gone back and watched the other two seasons and enjoyed every episode . I am also becoming familiar with a few carvers who have participated on other Food Network shows like Halloween Wars! That is another show worth mentioning. I enjoy seeing regular judges who are well known for their talent of the same. An awesome display of every type, color, & size of pumpkin to select from as the carvers who apply their skills! Brava! Hoping to see S4?

My favorite show during Halloween season
Whatsit5630 September 2023
The latest season of Outrageous Pumpkins has an excellent collection of carvers! I love the fall pumpkin patch set along with spooky lighting for the evening shots. The format consists of a small challenge in the beginning that gives one of the contestants an advantage in the main challenge. Carvers must use a variety of pumpkins, squash and other vegetables on hand for their pieces. The carvers can also add special effects in the form of motorized moving parts and lighting.

I knocked a star off because the show has had a variety of hosts. I enjoyed Allison Hannigan and Sunny Anderson as hosts. Not as thrilled with Damaris Phillips.

Love it!

Typical Food Network style show. With that said, nothing beats their version of Spooky Competition. It screams Art, Fall, Cold, and Full Blown Halloween!!!

Good show but....

Warning: Spoilers
We really like this show and have watched it since the beginning. This year we are baffled as to what the judges are looking at. Chaminda and Daniel are always churning out excellent carvings and yet the judges have picked Michele and Rebecca as the winner on occasions where their pieces were not only incomplete but VERY amateurish. What are they looking at? It's almost as if they want a woman to win so badly that they'll overlook all of the mistakes and terrible finished products. To us it appears that there are 2 clear lead carvers, Chaminda and Daniel, although Ethan did a great job on the Batman challenge. As for the host, Damaris needs to go, she has been giving her opinion way too much, much more than Sunny or Alyson ever did. We also find her to be very annoying. Still love the show but please be fair when judging instead of turning a blind eye so that a female can finally win one. If that was their ultimate goal then it should have happened last season with the female contestant that was an excellent carver, can't remember her name but she had short reddish blonde hair, and was very good at her craft.

Why change it?
donnafendley12 October 2023
I ran across this show while looking for Halloween shows. I saw Alyson Hannigan and stopped. "Outrageous Pumpkins" was everything "Halloween Wars" used to be. I will emphasize WAS. They then did the same thing as "Halloween Wars". After two seasons they changed the host from Hannigan to Sunny Anderson. This season they have Damaris Phillips as host. What's next? Will they further their mistake and bring in Ted Bagans? Hannigan has a bubbly, friendly attitude. Anderson is pretty much the same way. Phillips is boring. She relies too much on being a cute blonde. I may not watch the rest of the season and just wait and see who they have next year.
