looks a bit like Baywatch in the wilderness

A young cavegirl learns about love and life and fashion makeovers and all things that thousands of years later still fill the hearts and minds of her progeny.

This is the first episode from the top down on the menu page of the "Cavegirl Rocks" DVD, but I found out here that it's actually ep. 22. This is, however, my introduction to the show, and it's quite kinda cute. So much so that I'm just bummed that I would most likely never find the other episodes on DVD, as "Cavegirl Rocks" is all that's available.

Apparently, the series has raised a few eyebrows. Stacey Cadman, let it just be said, is 23 years old, and not the teenager she portrays here. There had been all kinds of talk about her skimpy attire? Well, her outfit leaves most of her upper back bare, but these are not the Fifties anymore, I'm pretty damn sure today's children (and 2002's children back then) did not exactly stare at her with gaping mouths just because of a little technicality like that. Anyway, the character of Big Sis is the femme fatale, the BAYWATCH drop- dead- gorgeous ManCatcher babe. She is something else, like really really killer.

The accents are quite British, and it certainly helps that there are subtitles, 'cause there were stuff I didn't catch the first time round.

The Girl Who Cried Dress. Cavegirl (really, couldn't they have given her an actual name???) is about to go on her very first date, like, ever! and she finds that her wardrobe is bare. So she summons help in total CLUELESS style, like, hello! I'll ring the alarm and call on all the clans-people to come from wherever they are, to assist me. Her Dad, a total Fred Flintstone type, is furious, but that's only pretend, he's an old softie at heart. But Cavegirl borrows the drum-skin to fashion herself the latest far- from-Paris original, and with no warning bell, the Horned Tribe gets easy access to come a- raiding. Cavegirl must stop them.

Might be a little kiddie's show, but cute, real cute.
