This featurette starts with a mini-biography of Audrey Hepburn, from her privations during WWII in occupied Holland which left her permanently slim (and led her to become a UNICEF fund-raiser for the world's starving kids in her post-Paramount years), to her fortuitous meeting with the author Colette which led to Hepburn being cast as Broadway's Gigi. Soon her thwarted ballet career was a distant memory as she made fans of co-stars such as Gregory Peck (ROMAN HOLIDAY) and William Holden (SABRINA). It explores her long friendship with fashion designer Hubert Givenchy, her introduction and marriage to her WAR AND PEACE co-star Mel Ferrer, and her collaboration with Fred Astaire in FUNNY FACE. After her son Sean was born, Hepburn replaced author Truman Capote's inspiration (Marilyn Monroe) for the lead part of Holly Golightly in BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S. Her stint with Paramount concluded with a cameo-laden farce, PARlS WHEN IT SIZZLES. My main regret was that Hepburn and Ferrer's GREEN MANSIONS (1959) was not a Paramount film, so there are no clips here of Audrey in her Rima-the-spider-girl outfit.
