Dreadful, was this series meant to be a teenage kids program! Irritating non believable characters and poor poor script. This has ruined a good line of series! I doubt this will be recommissioned.

A dissapointing and predictable finale.

The final episode gives us Gemma's back story....5 minutes in total, which is enough to get the gist.
Basically her hatred for her father comes from what he did to her mother years prior, he pushed her down the stairs after a blazing row and subsequently killed her, he did his time but Gemma feels he still needs to be punished so revenge is pretty much this episodes theme.
There's other characters shoe horned in too but don't get enough time to care who they are. The kennel group finally... FINALLY got there winnings not a moment too soon as they all seemed in dire straits. Lots of reminders as to why we are to feel sorry for the group, a soppy love story and all in all very bad acting concluded a very poor 4th run.

I was wondering about the point of Gemma's backstory which was left for the final episode.
Her relationship with her father, just released from prison for killing her mother. That was the reason why she wanted to buy a gun in Monaco.
It seems the lottery jackpot was not enough for her. Vengeance was.
A rather odd juxtaposition to the episode when Frank's scam has been exposed. The video footage meant that the rest of the gang are declared the lottery winners.
As for those sinister looking people following Frank in Monaco. They were the police all along!
A happy ending all around. Just a shame this was a weak story and not enough to justify a six part series.

This wasn't a masterpiece but it was entertaining enough to hold my interest through the whole of series 4. The end was a nice wrap up and I loved seeing all the dogs.
Just because it had a mostly unknown youngish cast is not a good reason for the unfair low reviews.
Ignore them and watch series 4 as it lot better than most of the newer dull stuff on BBC including the LOD final episode!!!

I will admit, I gave up after 2 episodes. I found the protagonists to be the most unlikeable characters and quite frankly hoped Frank would get away with it. That plus the constant sly fat shaming of one of the characters. It was horrendous.
Last night I found myself watching the finale and low and behold it was even worse than the previous episodes I watched. I cannot believe this fourth series is the shame show as the first-third series' the decline in quality is spectacular.
