Learn about dating and relationships and the reasons why they fall apart
cusickc24 February 2010
For everyone who has had a hard dating life, for those of you who have had bad break-ups, or those who want to know why we humans do what we do while dating MUSt see this documentary. It explains quite a bit about dating and relationships in this fast paced day and age. It also makes you realize that you are not the only one who has made dating mistakes. Others make the exact same mistakes as you. Why have sex on the first date, why stay with someone just because its safe even though they are not who you want, Why is it that we get stuck on one person from years back, why was dating so much easier for our grandparents than it is now? I have always thought that I was the only one who jumps to conclusions and automatically thinks I have done something wrong in the relationship, even if he told me a simple "no". Well it turns out that I'm not. The movie in itself is pretty comforting.

A Stellar Effort

For those of us who have been around the block a few more times than we would have liked, we can watch this and see very much to agree with. For anyone interested, this film may have some very valuable insights and suggestions that can make meeting and dating new people a lot less painful than it sometimes can be. Here I felt there was very much level-headed thinking and a lot of straight forward truth.

Collin Souter, seemingly little known, has done an excellent job of showcasing the way our culture and generational influences have impacted our social values and intimate relationship habits. Things change as they will, the more things change, the more they stay the same. A person of any age can see timeless methods of interacting with potential dates in a good and positive manner. And we see how the entire landscape has changed in many ways also. Take note of the comment Marcia makes regarding Reid's High School reunion, and the contrasting demeanor of those attending. I would ask if the current trends are healthy ones?
