After the mediocre to bad start of the season (for a show like this), at last we have an episode with many elements we loved in previous seasons: Kevin's struggles at all ages, Randall at his best and two great cliffhangers that who knows when they will be handled...

Don't understand the reviews - do not read if you haven't watched season 5

Warning: Spoilers
Ok, I've been giving this lots of thought after bingeing the available season 5 episodes. I do agree it started slow, but every episode has had wow factor, and the re-introduction of Randall's biological mother **wow** (have I missed how they went from seemingly driven individuals to having a drug addiction)
For all the comments regarding the show being too political, viewers wanting to escape and not watch our current reality on tv; consider for a moment that covid HAD to be written in, not for the show to be relevant, but for the fact that the cast need to adhere to social distancing and covid safe measures. They can't touch each other! A previous comment stated that the Pearson's are such an affectionate family, how do you change that all of a sudden? there needed to be a valid and reasonable explanation for this; so why not go with the truth. And could you imagine the uproar, of covid being included and not BLM? These incidents will likely be amongst the most significant of this decade. I believe the writers were thrown a curve ball (covid social distancing) and adapted, and if given a choice likely wouldn't have included it to the extent that it has been.
Hats off to all the cast and crew this show continues to maintain its exceptionally high standard and I can't wait to see what's to come in 2021!

Back on track?

This was by far best episode of the season five, and it starts to remind us why we love This is us.
It finally seems that the plots are gaining traction, and we can expect good episodes ahead.
It is still not "super bowl sunday" level, but it is definetly getting back on track.

How can this show keeps doing it? I swear the emotions i felt in this is us never felt before even in real life, like what the hell?
Back to this episode, and i think it was perfect, the best of season 5 so far.
We're seeing more of Kate and that is really what the fans were waiting for.
Randal and his biological mother seems to be a really really big plot.
Kevin's character development through out the seasons is just amazing.
and the fact that i yelled at Malik, as if i was in the room, LMAO 😂😂
I don't know how i'll wait until 2021 tbh, but anw today's episode was the real start for season 5.
That warm and fuzzy feeling is back
