Better than you'ld think...

...from the low starred raters seen here. If the show is so bad why watch it? More like immature jerks who can't stand seeing a female in a strong role. Tension ratchets pretty high and some really good acting.

Episode 9

Warning: Spoilers
A pretty exciting episode here. Did not agree with Rick being killed this way, but I don't think any of us saw it coming.

Also, how was the car speeding up aggressively if it was on auto-pilot? Feels like a mistake there.

[7.7] The flat fly

A good thrilling episode, all above-average with some unrealistic moments by the end. The acting is good as well as the filming, but the writing needs some serious trimming.

Worst Chase Scene in Television History
adamsinclair00717 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Chasing a Tesla that's supposedly in auto pilot but clipping along well above the speed limit and crazy pants behind the wheel of the truck almost wrecks twice trying to get ahead of it on an abandoned road.

Before that, worst door breach I've ever seen. It's like they have no consultants whatsoever.

I like the show but....

Warning: Spoilers
They are making it hard to believe. He sees them coming to the house and he has time to move the priest to his car, then go back and get the boy and drive off and NOBODY SEES HIM.

Might be the worst all around episode of TV history
prestonholley16 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The writing is just so terrible I can't hold my tongue, or thumbs, back at this point. I've let the previous 1,000,069 plot holes in the first 8 episodes go largely untouched, but not anymore.

First off, the town is small enough to have a small sheriffs department and local newspaper boy on a bicycle, so how does no one recognize Ronald from the newspaper image? And how does no one suspect him, homie had mad Norman Bates vibes and the priest was suspicious of it from the start. Then the kid goes missing and no one suggest Find My iPhone? Cassie comes face to face with Ronald, recognizes him, then leaves the house to alert authorities, giving Ronald plenty of time to booby trap the house and escape. Jenny storms the house and picks up a grown dead woman and mistakes it for a 10 year old boy, and doesn't even flinch at it. Forget about her having blue skin... you didn't realize you picked up a frozen avatar? Also she'd been frozen standing up, how long had she been thawed out so she could be in that sitting position? Doesn't, make, sense. And how did Ronald manage to carry the priest back up the stairs? Dude had a horrible time overpowering the 70 year old and barely had the strength to drag and push him down the stairs.

And not only does Ronald have spontaneous hulk like strength, the man, in a half hour a presume, rig up a 3 foot taser extender, solder a circuit board to trip sparks setup throughout the house, rig up a shotgun booby trap, dress his mother in the boys clothes and handcuff her to a post, carry the priest up the stairs and into the backseat of the Tesla, and then reductape the boy and put him in the trunk. Now that ladies and gentlemen, is a jack of all trades.

The Tesla chase scene is just laughable, I've seen better chase scenes between Ketchup, Mustard, and Relish at a minor league baseball game. Cassie and jenny are desperados that are going to perform a pit maneuver on a car with a little boy as a hostage instead of just following it until more backup arrives. The cars are racing at approximately 45 mph and she can't get in front of him, no traffix for miles and she drives on the shoulder and almost wrecks a car she never saw coming on a straight and flat road. Almost wrecks it multiple time, the camera angles switch and all of a sudden a 10 foot gap turns to 50, it switches again and now it's bumper to bumper. Not to mention she puts her foot down on the gas pedal to the floor 10 different times in the chase when the Tesla was in autopilot so it was on cruise control at the same speed this whole time. Sloppy and lazy writing, filming, and editing.

Merilee killing her husband made absolutely no sense and eliminates the storyline of legarsky lying and faking it along with the great foreshadowing and hints that he regained his memory. They set his character arc up for a secondary villain story and then poof, gone.

Last point then im done ranting, Ronald may the dumbest serial killer ever. Luckily for him, the sheriffs department and private detectives chasing after him are even dumber.

Let me be clear, the acting is pretty solid, but the writing is just flat lazy and terrible. No stars out of 10, dumpster fire.

David E Kelly owe Elon Musk Money?
CST2CST25 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I don't mind the show, it's mindless entertainment. I can stream it at any time and keep it on in the background. I do find a lot the characters choices ridiculous. IE she finds him in his home, knows he probably has the boy, then leaves to get back up and put a raid together? Why not just call it in? You have spent all this time trying to find him and now you have him in your sights and you leave??

But this episode - really is about Tesla. I have never learned so much about a TESLA then I did watching this show. It's awkward and seems forced into the dialogue.

Must pay to be clergy too. Found it a little odd the Tesla was the priests vehicle.

Commercial for a car
sigelm8 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The whole episode was a commercial for a car. Cool that the dead man was behind the wheel though. Very disappointed that they went down the path of making a good woman a killer. She didn't deserve to spend the rest of her life in prison just to get back at a psycho.

Ended like it was the last episode...............oh its not!
fivish-117 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Not sure how using a tazer on a steel cage could do anything but short it out. There is the unexpected murder of a main character, with a hammer. A car chase, with several stamps on the gas which did not result in much acceleration. Not looking ahead by driver and passenger resulting in a number of near miss crashes. Always look ahead no matter what! Ended with cameo shots of dead characters as if it was the last episode.

But it apparently carries on with a chase after the truck driving psycho.

Awful to watch - just plain silly
codefool19 February 2021
Generally this is a good show - I tend to watch it every week. But this episode was just plain silly. Especially the "chase" scene between the Tesla (and how the heck is a minister driving a $100K car? Because the plot needs a car that has autopilot. Which, since the question was obvious, the "reveal" is also obvious.) and the truck is sloppily edited and woefully directed by Michael Goi. The Tesla was going all of 35 MPH, and how many times did Goi cut to the truck being "floored" to only do slightly more than that. Also, the road clear on the right, but the truck insists on passing on the left shoulder. But two people in the car twice did not see oncoming traffic until just-before-the-last-possible-second. Sloppy, sloppy.

I only hope the rest of the season perks up because any more episodes like this one will kill it for me.

Oh, and I highly suggest that Michael Goi go back to film school. He's not ready for prime time.
