Hurray for Billy Gray!
planktonrules7 May 2014
I always thought that Billy Gray was an under-appreciated and talented child actor. And so, it was nice to see this special feature on the DVD to one of his very best performances in "The Girl Next Door". Gray was quite natural and real in this film, but the short also allows Gray to discuss his career in his own words--from his appearance as a juvenile Jim Thorpe to his career going bust after an arrest for marijuana possession. Interestingly, Gray didn't seem upset at the sudden destruction of his image and film career because he apparently gravitated to racing--one of his life's passions.

While this short isn't as long as I might have liked, it was nice seeing Gray as he looks today and hearing his recollections about his career and how much he enjoyed working with Dan Dailey in the film. Well worth seeing if you have the DVD.
