- Hapihapitchi lives on happiness, but she dies near the end of the movie because she is almost out of happy energy. She magically grants the last of her happiness to Kikitchi and then collapses, and it then shows a close-up of her lifeless face. This scene is very emotional and could easily upset children, but she comes back to life after another character grants her happiness.
