Menage a trois and not good friends
Starfilmsgold16 January 2022
Whatever the excuse, Emily should not have done it with Gabriel. After that, she should have either - moved on - or moved in with him. It is more insulting to Camille to have Emily trying to make up to her, et faire semblant, comme si rien ne s'était passé avant (pretend like nothing had happened).

Friendship soured is like milk going off. You cannot drink it, but maybe you can make yogurt or sour cream out of it? Still a very enjoyable series, and what I like most, is the honest diversity in characters. Modern day working girl adventure story in Paris, featuring real and weird types and not just beautiful, surreal, Hollywood gods and goddesses with perfect makeup and hairdo even in the middle of the night.

Camille is the more independent one and we love Emily. Gabriel needs a wake up call. As my fav. Author, F. Scott Fitzgerald once said, "There are all kinds of love in this world, but never the same love twice." Simply put, relationships come in many different forms, and you will never have the same love with one partner as you have with another.

Menage a trois n'est pas de bons amis.

PS: Lily Collins is very much like a modern day Audrey Hepburn, charming, curious, kind and totally likeable despite her disastrous meddling! Xx.

Emily rules

Nearly as good as season One. Paris is a movable feast as Old Hem wrote in his memories. Not that much have changed in a hundred years. Americans in Paris behaves as usual and like then refuse to learn the language.

But it's fun and Lily Collins is perfect as Emily. The cast is excellent and the story intriguing. The creator of miss Collins wardrobe is a genius. Even when it's over the top. Great. And a Vespa from Dior. Marvelous. Of cause Emily in Paris is a fantasy. But everyone who have lived in Paris for some time, like me, know that a lot of the characters and stories are true. I was never put off if it sometimes comes out as a cartoon of French lifestyle. I see it as a homage to Paris.

Episode 201

Warning: Spoilers
The show immediately sucked us right back in. Maybe not the most compelling start, but the characters, the scenery, it still feels as fresh as it did back in the first year.

Inflated commercial

Product-placement paradise that it is, Emily starts again along the overdone lines of misunderstandings between friends. Immature and unsophisticated Emily just doesn't know how to tell her BFF Camille (whom she met one hour ago) that she had sex with her boyfriend Gabriel.

Because, these pretty young things just do not understand that relationships run their course and not everybody is supposed to stay together forever. Camille and Gabriel are not even married or have children, so what's the big deal if they split? But it's just fake drama and a truckload of lying for Emily.

So it's more of the same: Emily going to "work" wearing crop tops exposing her stomach and micro minis, barely covering her beaver; Emily stealing a colleague's account; Emily traveling to the French riviera with a would-be lover she'd like to sleep with just to "forget" Gabriel. 👍🏻Thumbs up Emily, the American feminist who despises sex obsessed Frenchies. You're really a model to modern youth.

Doesn't fail to fail

I was hoping after the massive backlash from France itself, they'd make the right changes and make it more accurate (so much wrong with season 1), and here we are: She takes a sleeper car train to do Paris Villefranche which is a 4h train journey including a change of train in Lyon. I mean so many French people work on the show, who is responsible for this?

Then they continue with the old clichés, that annoyed the entire country, Emily is still not working and sleeping with everyone, and that's just episode 1! Hopefully last season.

This episode was exactly like the bag. Takcky that you'll definitely notice it. So you will like it so much or you'll hate. No middle ground here unfortunate.

What does it mean?

I've never been in Paris but this show is terrible!!!

What does it mean that you only have sex with some people and enjoying life. Bad production that you've never guess what is goin' on this show.

I hope they won't make 3rd season.

I prefer after movies to watch ...
