Corona hitting all of our favorit shows, quarantine frustration full scale.
terminatina20 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers. I rather liked that they showed us the rampage of the World as we now know it, where everything is put on edge. As a youngster who had lost his family partly due to Covid, teams up with another desillusioned soul during the pandemic. Where the differences between those who have and those who don't, becomes crystal clear. Somebody has got to pay.

In a world on brink of civil war, political disobedience and quarantine this seem like a plausible outlet of corona frustration.

Wilkes Barre
christopherluke-182642 December 2020
Lived in or near Wilkes Barre most of my life. Boats made no sense as mentioned in another review plus learn how to say Wilkes-Barre we pronounce it like "berry". It's ok having the main characters saying it wrong but the "news media"?

Hollywood, please do some basic research
Sgt_G20 November 2020
I love this show and want to give the episode more stars, but I do wish Hollywood would do some basic research. A marina with cabin cruisers and sailboats in Wilkes-Barre?? Seriously. the Susquehanna river is barely deep enough for bass boats and canoes.

Is it just me?

The camera work seems extremely shaky compared to normal. Did they film with hand helds due to covid?

It's slightly nauseating tbh.

Disappointing, sloppy episode
huntsman-118 November 2020
I'm guessing this epidode was actually mostly filmed when the COVID shutdown started. There was little mask use, and the dialog was weak and trite. Perhaps from trying to patch new parts in. The bits about his father may be used later in the season, but it's just loose filler here. Also, they consistently mispronounced Wilkes-Barre as "wilksBAR" instead of "WILKSbary". For a show produced in NY, this is strange. I like the show, and especially appreciate seeing the Native American and First Nations (Canadian) actors, so this is a disappointment.

The music drowns out the show.

Distracting music throughout the entire episode. Can't the plot stand on its own?

Same Story Line, over & over & over

Tediously, mind numbingly boring. No creativity in the writing. Literally the same story as a dozen other episodes; the names have been changed. Underwhelmed.

Politics From the Woke

I really wanted to like this series, and the 1st season was a decent start. Now, I get the distinct impression that we are being re-educated according to what the PC croud wants us to believe. CBS is on a roll and I'm rolling away from Direct TV. JUST ENTERTAINMENT PEOPLE, NO POLITICAL BS.

Terry O'Quinn is a trooper
tarwaterthomas26 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
He makes a guest appearance as Jess LaCroix's ne'er-do-well father who was a rambling, gambling man; he actually wagered his son's college fund and blew it on the ponies. He shows up one fine day with a honey babe half his age; at the end of the episode, he announces that he and his mattress mistress are getting married. Jess does not seem to be cool with that, but time will tell. We also find out that Jess was a good buddy with John Barleycorn for three years (apparently after his wife and the mother of their daughter passed away). Oh yes, there are two snipers on the loose, and they are shooting rich people in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania but they are dealt with in due time. The implication seems to be that the rich people have it coming, and the two snipers got screwed over due to the virus. A mixed bag at best. Not a good start to the second season. Dick Wolf can do better than that. I wish he would.
