I appreciate writers who are paying attention
emilysayshey18 December 2020
Such a great episode. A reviewer said they were sick of the social justice themes. Another didn't like a spotlight being shone for half a minute on the staggering number of black girls who go missing in this country. Every statistic quoted by the writers is dead accurate. Those numbers are facts. COVID is also reality, and I'm glad to see a franchise treating it seriously and not just jumping to an alternate universe where it doesn't exist.

Powerful - Painful episode
Apryl18 December 2020
Very well written episode. It showcased so many hurts and issues... but the voice of Ben Warren reminded us to keep faith and have hope, and to see why people like Fire Fighters keep working to make things better.

While so many go through their daily lives, there are those enclaves where there is tragedy and injury. Five years ago, I had no idea how bad Sex Trafficking had become in the US. While we may have our every day issues like the loss of a loved one and making spaghetti, someone else is in the fight for their life.

We are reminded that while there are those in uniform who work so very hard to serve, protect, and care for each of us, some - for an unknown reason - prefer to close their eyes and allow monsters to continue to monster. That's what makes these people so bad: they ARE the exception, but sometimes, they get away with it in ways that can cause all sorts of problems for others.

I feel haunted by this episode. Such an array of emotions: love, hate, happiness, fear, family support, xenophobia.

Very well done!

Pulling guns on firefighters?
morrisonliz5 February 2021
On what planet are a group of cops at a fire scene with off duty firefighters who just rescued kidnapped girls from a house start arresting the colored firefighters because they started running at them or pulling all their guns on one of them who was clearly unarmed. NEVER would this happen. Sorry. Not to other government officials in front of their squad and captain. Cops don't think they're gods and even if they did they wouldn't be so bold to risk a PR nightmare. I hate that all my shows a pulling this crap. Now I have nothing to watch anymore.

Powerful
LollyLaurenPop28 April 2021
Very powerful and raw episode, everyone who is complaining about the portrayal of the police in this episode really need to pay attention to the world they are actually living in right now and realise this is an actual reality rather than shoving their head in the sand.

Real & Raw
lmitchell-4259021 December 2020
I am so proud of the writers of this show and Grey's Anatomy for showing the reality of our America. I saw a lot of these other reviews saying it's not what they came to watch and that it's not realistic or they aren't interested. This is all due to the Social Justice aspect of this episode. I think they just aren't comfortable with the fact that the show is focusing on issues against other races because they are scared to look themselves in the mirror. This episode may have not been real for them, but it was real to a lot of other people, even other viewers. Finally, Thank you to all of the actors for their amazing and painfully real emotions in this episode.

RAW AND REAL and I love it.

This episode moved me more than any other. Anger at the police and sorrow for everyone else. What is wrong with the police. Have they learned nothing?

This is one of the best episodes. Very powerful showing of discrimination and racial injustice. Great job writers. I hope it opens eyes

Stop it
toncincin18 December 2020
COVID COVID COVID sick of it. Then we go on to the Black girls kidnapped/missing statistics (Other races NEVER have this happen-right?) AND the stereotypical hard ass, uncaring police officers. Used to really like this show - starting to doubt it now.

Worst episode I've seen
lekwaa23 December 2020
Very politically driven and not very tasteful. Poor interpretation of how law enforcement handles crimes. Way to go for making cops look bad...again.

Unbelievable!!!

Warning: Spoilers
My gosh!! They went way too far. You couldn't have at least one of the "heroes" be white? And maybe at least one of the "awful police" be of color? This is what throws fire on racism. I am appalled. Last show of this series I will ever watch.

Please stop with the SJ issues
sarahbecker-9885718 December 2020
I use to really like this show but it has gone completely off the rails this season with non stop social justice issues. Very few cops act like they do in this episode. Keep this up and people will band together to have the show dropped. Please stop the madness!

Went way to far

Totally ruined the show! Had a good story and at the end they chose to make it something it didn't need to be. Total garbage and the writers should be ashamed. They could have made it about over coming and unity but they didn't. I'm disappointed

Complete left winged garbage
mervinwood-2739431 December 2020
This episode had to have been written by some extreme left winged fanatic. The biased insulting portrayal of the police in this episode was disgraceful. It was somewhat comical at the over the top level that was achieved. It may as well of had the police torture puppies and kittens. I now know why the main star policeman in the first several episodes was killed off. He was a good guy, and this show cannot have any policemen portrayed in any way other than that of a SS Nazi.

Going woke
scooterbreeze5 April 2021
The woke culture/movement cancel culture mentality will end your show. Did anyone who wasn't black get arrested? All cops are white and biased and late. ? Really?

Unrealistic
kevindrake-4228810 March 2021
This show has become Firefighters good, everyone else bad. Instead of addressing serious issues in a realistic way, they choose the opposite. Human trafficking is a plague on society, but the way it is portrayed on this show couldn't be further from the reality. Crime fighting, saving the world is there anything they can't do? The last thing I'd want if I needed medical help or my house was on fire is this group of unprofessional buffoons. Stick to saving people fighting fires.

Warning: Spoilers
First, I don't know how it is to be black or, live in the USA and be black. But I'm really in disgust, when this is the reality. I hope not! Bc this episode is too much. Nobody help the firefighter?! No police is coming after a call from a firefighter? Really? Then they arest the Mom and the firefighters who want help them? And the bad white man cry stupid stuff(girls locked them self in, in a hidden room). Nobody cares about the fire?

Is this epidode bc blm? What's with lm? Lm=Logic matters?

Hilarious episode.
m-478268 February 2022
I'm just so over all the whining in this show. And those unbelievable plot points, and silly generalizations. Why don't writers surprise us with actually good written storylines, for a change?!...

This episode was politically driven not story driven
andrewbrunstein-4787914 March 2022
The "writers" used the characters to further a political narrative. EVERY single action taken by the characters in this episode was out of character and solely to further the political narrative. In this episode police arrest the firefighters for B&E when a fire broke out. In real life that officer would then be in jail, for interfering with a fire. Completely unrealistic writing and story line. While it is great to show the plight of young girls and the plight of minorities, this kind of half-caring writing is doing more harm than good.

Unbelievable!
brennansmomma29 March 2022
A totally political and unbelievable episode; the same subject matter that is destroying good series shows. With 50 witnesses, body cams and the changes that have taken place in the past 20 years with police force and firefighters, it is a bit too exaggerated to believe. Keep this up and this great series will go the way of so many others.

Absolute garbage. The final moments of this story are complete BS woke garbage. What kind of stupid world do these writers live in? I won't be watching this show from this point on. It wasn't that great anyway.

Go woke, go broke.
