One thing I noticed about these Lost Episodes is that Jackie Gleason isn't nearly as heavy as he was in later shows. In this one, Alice, following doctor's orders, has Ralph on a diet. He is ravenous but she tries really hard to get him to lose weight. He rants and raves and tries to get to the ice box. Earlier, Mrs. Rafferty, the Italian lady who lives in the same building, has given Alice some food for her husband's surprise party. We know, of course, that no matter where the food gets hidden, eventually Ralph will find it. There are a few funny moments here.
