Nick Stahl has gone missing, according to various online sources citing a police report filed by his wife. Stahl’s wife hasn’t heard from her estranged husband in five days. She says Stahl, 32, was last seen in the vicinity of downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row on May 9. Stahl, who reportedly has serious drug issues, has suffered a series of setbacks in the recent past. For starters, Fox passed on the Mark Romanek-directed Locke & Key in spring 2011. After refusing to pay for a cab ride, Stahl spent a night in jail last January. That same month, he and his wife separated. She later requested to the court that his visits to their two-year-old daughter be monitored, and that Stahl be tested for drug use 24 hours before seeing the infant. Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles has selected the comedy "Everything Will Happen Before You Die," as its 2010 Centerpiece Gala premiere film. It will screen at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, at the new 400-seat Civic Center F. Deaton Auditorium, at corner of 1st and Main Street, across from City Hall in downtown L.A.
That evening during the Centerpiece program, actor John Hawkes will be honored with the festival's Indie Trailblazer of the Year Award, for his body of work in 2010. In addition to appearing in "Everything Will Happen Before You Die," Hawkes also appears in "On Holiday," another feature screening premiering at the festival earlier that afternoon. Earlier this year, Hawkes received critical acclaim for his starring role in "Winter's Bone," which debuted at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.

Word has floated our way that actress Anita Briem is set to play Dylan Dog's love interest in Dead of Night . Dog, a private investigator drawn into the realm of the supernatural, is embodied by Brandon Routh ( Superman Returns ) who will be joined by Sam Huntington and Taye Diggs. Briem, who has appeared on The Tudors , recently starred in Journey to the Center of the Earth and wrapped the comedy Everything Will Happen Before You Die . She'll be venturing to New Orleans where Dead 's Kevin Munroe is directing for Hyde Park Entertainment Group and Platinum Studios Inc. Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly penned the script.
