I was really looking forward to this having seen much of the cast across shows like Midsomer Murders, Grace, Keeping Faith, Bang and The Accident.
There is an exciting opening through thd woods at night and the drone shots of the area are great but things do seem a bit clunky with the acting and one or two dodgy Welsh accents.
As with the character Ben Jones in Midsomer Murders, Max Price played by Jason Hughes is policeman in the right place at the right time and is promoted to a plain clothes job.
Some of the vehicles don't really seem to fit in with those you would think shop floor workers would drive.
I know it was done last Autumn during the pandemic so maybe they had no time to rehearse and it doesn't look as though the producers could arrange a party in a brewery.
If I hadn't had an investment in knowing the actors from other shows and the area it was filmed then I might not have carried on watching but, writing this after watching the whole series, I can tell you that it does improve.
