The Rise and Fall of Welles
Michael_Elliott4 May 2016
E! Mysteries & Scandals: Orson Welles (1999)

Janet Leigh, Charlton Heston, Joseph McBride (historian), Henry Jaglom (friend), Jonathan Kuntz (film historian), David Thomson (biographer) and Gary Graver (cinematographer) are interviewed and discuss the rise and quick fall of Orson Welles.

If you're a fan of Orson Welles then you're already going to know about his splash on the radio, which led to perhaps the greatest movie contract in the history of Hollywood. Of course, this led to the greatest film ever made but the movie bombed and soon Welles was an outcast. These stories aren't anything film buffs haven't heard but it was great getting to hear from Leigh and Heston who worked with Welles on TOUCH OF EVIL. The story of Welles is great drama and makes for a very good episode.
