poetry of a dystopian world
Kirpianuscus29 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The basic temptation is to define it as poetic film. Because it represents a profound beautiful hommage of love, reminding Orpheus and Euridice legend.

A terrible punishment, in a society of future, against out law persons - they are transformed in trees. A young couple is affected by this decision for the courage of lady to say , in a material of her husband, the naked truth about the terrible measure of govern. She pays the high price of her words.

And the love of her husband , his try to understand her in the new state is just touching.

Maybe, a short horror. But the poetic message, the light o gentle emotions counts more.

In short, just special.

Major Philosophical Achievement

This work is a sign of pure genius. I'd call it science fiction more than horror, for the idea of trees and people together is closer to reality than fiction. What are trees, really: what do we know about them?? It is purely fascinating what we get to see. Hats off to the writer of this piece of art. The story is so imaginative that one just cannot get enough of the warm autumn colours of the trees in the movie... Not to give anything away, of course; but please watch till the ending. It is one big element of philosophy, near the works of Jean-Paul Sartre and Friedrich Nietzsche, yes even a bit of Plato here and there. See it to believe it.
