Superclosing

Warning: Spoilers
This was one of the season's stronger episodes, some of the others felt like fillers. I feel like the customer's bad ratings will lead to the store shutting down and that America's return in the final episode will involve her opening up a new branch for the employees to work at.

Customer feedback
safenoe22 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Customer Satisfaction really hit the zeitgeist with the demand and desperation for five stars in customer feedback, as really it's all so rampant with consumers expected to provide customer feedback for everything through email, phone, etc, and it's quite demanding and desperate at times when we don't get the positive feedback that maybe we crave just like the Superstore staff expect to keep their heads above water.

Anyway, Customer Satisfaction gives us the sense of closure in a very bad way, representative of the impending end of Superstore. Dina and Garrett still have feelings for each other.

Amazing musical choice

When the store is being flooded, the song playing over the PA system is Barry McGuire's "Eve of Destruction". It is probably the most poignant protest song of the 1960s. I had to pause the show and go to youtube to listen to it. Twice.

Last 2 episodes were enjoyable...

Which is shocking.

This one started out positively as well...then it tended to unwind and return to stasis.

They could have done so much more with water in the store. What a missed opportunity.

Glenn lying down to block the water was absurdly ridiculous.

Water All Over The Floor

Warning: Spoilers
Dina makes a comment that they cannot actually legally tell customers who can they sleep with, so if Jonah does want to have sex with the moms, do it on breaks she says. Jeff is the new district manager and Zephra is now focusing on customer satisfaction surveys that are at the end of every receipt. The employees have to struggle to get the customers to actually complete the survey on their devices and to give them a high rating. Dina comes up with an idea that they should create problems for the customers and swoop in, giving them higher ratings. They hide the most popular items in the back and tell customers when they give them the goods that it was the very last one. They also decide to close the customer washrooms due to maintenance and let them use the employee washrooms. The guy who was assigned to the task actually clogged the toilets with salami and shot glasses. This causes a huge flood of water to seep out from under doors. Mateo distracts Jeff in his office with news of his engagement. Jeff notices the water coming into his office and goes out on the floor, angry.
