We are big fans of Frankie Drake Mysteries and are very sorry to see it cancelled. I will avoid spoilers here, but unless they are certain to get a follow up movie or series, then the ending is quite disappointing.

I just found a way to watch Season 4 since I don't have cable or Ovation. I love this show and I binge watched the whole season. Of course it ends in a cliffhanger, so I looked for news about when Season 5 will be out. Are you serious? Not one storyline is resolved. Some of them are left perilously hanging. This could not have been the plan. Will anyone else pick up this awesome show? Will it be left in Purgatory Hell? This is a great show full of fun and engaging characters, well acted, good scripts, just the best. All I can say about this if it never comes back is WTH!*#^%¥!!! BTW, it seems impossible to rate this episode. The episode is great, but it leaves the viewer in a terrible place so 10 or 0. If I can submit this without a score, I will.

Sadly Cancelled Far Too Soon

I found this show accidentally on Ovation and recorded every episode. It's been an enjoyable few months as I watched all the seasons. I was impressed at the many historical figures included, especially Marcus Garvey, who I don't believe I've ever seen depicted in a fictional work before. I am very familiar with his work with the UNIA through reading and various documentaries. I thought the actor's portrayal was excellent, specifically his manner as a public speaker, which was quite unique and effective. That said, I was intrigued by the story arc in this final season and it's various possibilities, so was sad to see it end in such a way. The cliffhangers were well done in this episode, but of course, immensely disappointing in not being resolved by another season.

Such a great series. Wonderful characters with engaging arcs for each. I actually delayed watching the finale because I was reluctant to see them go.
The reward for four seasons of fandom is a rip-off. Three of the four principals are left in the lurch in major ways. Unforgivable. Whoever pulled the plug on a 5th season owes us at least a TV movie finale with closure on these hanging plotlines.
I don't consider this review as containing any spoilers. The episode was already spoiled by the production company that let a fine series end on this sour note.

What they did here is a perfect example of why a series should never end with a cliff hanger. The risk of cancelation and unfinished story lines leaves the audience unhappy. If a show is headed for cancelation, let them produce a real series finale. Season ending cliff hangers are unnecessary unless your show is so bad that you don't expect viewers to return for another season.
