fist of questions
Kirpianuscus11 May 2022
The basic gift of this admirable short film are the questions. And the kick to empathy with young father for viewer. A young couple, their first baby, the prepaires for bris, a kind rabbi and the twist, maybe not so surprising after the clear terms presented in the phone conversation from beginning.

The great part is the reaction of James front to the refuse to give a certificate for Maddoxx. The cold, harsh true , the fall of indulgence and relativity.

It remains a film who I feel. Because the angry of James is so familiar, in different contextes, for many of us. Because it is a film about the distance between religion and modern life, maybe marked by a sort of hypocrisy.

I admit, I expected to discover the rabbi as an impostor. The comma remains a presumtiv clue.
