(Death in the OUTBACK) During the Pacific campaign, US bombers shot by Japanese fighters in 1942 crashed in Australia's near-deserted Northern Territory. Two were soon found but four others, from another plane on the same mission, found themselves lost in the endless Outback. Beliveing to be near Queensland, they set out the wrong way, ever deeper into the wasteland, where it's near impossible to survive without proper training, none even knew the land a bit. After they reached the coast, the strongest died testing the current despite their fear of sharks. The others battled with hunger, countless poisonous critters and the terror of 'salty' crocodiles. EXausted and fatally malnourished, two died in the deserted shed they ultimately reached. Only the Akabama farm boy survived, fighting off a pack of dingoes, lucky to be found by the local rancher.
