This low budget 1966 series was the first of a trilogy of series made in Australia from 1966 - 1970. The other two series were Vega 4 and Phoenix Five.
Each series used different spacecraft and actors but more or less the same story. In this first episode of the first series, the World Counsel is sending the star-craft, "Interpretaris" into deep space on a mission. The mission is to imprison a mad doctor type, Ben Gabriel, on a small planet.
The crew, Stanley Walsh, Kit Taylor, Lorraine Bayly and their slightly nuts robot, Henry, take off to drop their prisoner. What they do not know, is that Gabrial has smuggled his own small computer on board.
This computer will be used by Gabrial to seize control of the ship which of course sets us up for episode 2. (b/w)
