Some good points, some bad
sigelm16 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Natasha and Carrie storyline was interesting, the conversation they had at last was on spot and moving, brilliantly acted as well.

I'm happy that Charlotte has noticed Miranda's addiction and hope that they will address the issue further in the episodes to come.

Bad points now: I've always liked Stanford, but in this reboot the character is annoying, especially the dialogues he was given. I'm saddened that the writers had written the scenes with him so poorly when I think back how that's the last we are going to see of this wonderful actor, RIP Willie Garson.

As a lesbian, I'm still disappointed with Miranda changing her sexuality in the age of 55. It can happen for some women who have been repressing their sexuality, especially if they are living in opressive societies, but that's not Miranda. We've all known Miranda for decades and she's never shown any trace of homo- or bisexuality before, and she was certainly never the one shy to explore. Why change the character? Actors should be able to enact personalities different than theirs so why the character's personality has to change in order to look more like the actress who's playing it? Plus the Steve thing - does Steve not matter anymore? His infidelity was such a huge issue, will they really go that route again with Miranda? She was the first one to judge Steve.

Sara Ramirez is plain boring, the podcast jokes are not even funny, and they just took over this whole episode with their stand-up performance and bored me to death.

Carrie keeping her old apartment for 15 years just staying there empty is unbelievably stupid and unrealistic and selfish in overcrowded Manhattan. It's incredible how she has supposedly been living in a different place for 15 years, with the love of her life nonetheless, and still thought of the old apartment as her only home. The first time they mentioned the old apartment still being in her possession I knew she was moving back in so that was a major spoiler that something would happen with Big.

Eh...
withlovekatieb17 December 2021
Here we go again with an episode of shoving "look how socially appropriate we are!" down our throats. It is good that these things are becoming more normalized on TV, but this show is trying way too hard and it makes it nearly unbearable to watch. It is borderline ruining the original series as well.

I liked the storyline of Carrie and Natasha. It seemed accurate and familiar to the original series as opposed to the rest of the show forcing gender identity, racism, etc down our throats for 47 minutes straight. I have nothing against it, but dear lord. They are executing it all so poorly.

Closing a chapter

Carrie deserves the cold shoulder she gets in this episode. It's lighter than previous episodes but still heavy. Everyone is carrying so many burdens. Also so many things. Just like that should be called "all the things." But still like the episode.

Home again

Probably the weakest episode so far, but still some really great moments, and that ending... melted my heart. The cast had good chemistry and the new characters are developing well.

Good episode!

Warning: Spoilers
I like when TV and movies recognise life as it is. The dialogue between Carrie and Natasha is short but remarkable, they both have things to be happy about and things to be sad, regretted, concerned... And even though they had a moment of mutual empathy, they are adults enough to know that doesn't mean they should follow each other on Instagram.

There are no hero or villain in that situation, only two human beings trying to deal with life post 50.

Im really enjoying this show.

Cringe, stupid lines, cringe
manortugba19 December 2021
And just like that show runners keep dumping all the contemporary stupidity on us.

Lines are terrible, just empty text really. No real plot. No development. You know what agenda non-stop.

Meh.

And Just like that... It gets worse!!
sjlee-5364517 December 2021
Kim Cattrall must be so happy that she swerved this awful series!

An absolute disappointment and I have tried so hard to like it and watched all 3 episodes but yet again it is American writers getting on their soap box about political issues rather than writing a good story!

It's a complete cringe fest and the script writing has made the characters one dimensional....what a shame.

Totally ruins the show and that Che is so nasty, rude, disrespectful, unlikeable, how could anyone be attracted to her is beyond me especially Miranda! I had liked the first 2 episodes but I fast forwarded this one ...

Best one so far
elailiesi17 December 2021
Watching this episode really felt like watching the old Sex and the city again. I would watch anything SATC related, I'm a fan, but this is the best thing I;ve watched with the "girls" since the original series ended. Welcome back!

Boring! Stupid and terrible writing.
hpcmakeup16 December 2021
Carry is walking...who cares. Natasha just happens to be in a bathroom in NYC.. no way!

Every scene is boring and annoying. Every scene is about them being so old and genders and Covid and Miranda not being racist over and over. This show is really really terrible. They must have paid Chris Noth millions to return even for one terrible episode. Miranda needs a comedy routine at 55 to realize she's a lesbian...ugh this is really awful.

Still going great!

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this episode!

This show is staying with the times and I'm loving it. Someone is always going to have something negative to say about it so keep doing this show!!

I'm excited to see the idea of Miranda becoming a weed smoking lesbian!!!!!! Although I love Steve and Miranda and they have been around since the beginning... I don't know maybe they really meant to be Anymore?!

Charlotte being emotional at Chey's comedy show was great too! As someone as girly as Charlotte I'm sure she's struggling well with Rose's confession to not feeling like a girl, but she's trying her best to accept and be a great mother!! Also think Charlotte is not wrong to worry about Miranda's alcohol bottles. I do hope they don't try to tie in marijuana use with addiction. But we'll see how the road goes.

It was nice to see Natasha again! Even tho she wasn't wanting to talk to Carrie I think it's the closure they both needed even if they both have "moved on" Great episode and can't wait to see the rest!!!!

Classic Sex and the city, love it!
tom99216 December 2021
People who say this is boring probably never saw the sex and the city series. A lot happened in this episode, it was fun to watch, and also somewhat inspiring. I think it's great that the whole non-binary, gay, transgender theme is added to the series, cause sex and the city didn't have a lot of that, it was great but to black and white. And just like that is colorful in that aspect but still the same dynamic as we know it.

Kim Cattrall's Next Show
jennyboyd-5575318 December 2021
I was bracing myself for the sad absence of Kim Cattrall...but still had hope. Carrie is as unevolved, narcissistic, and annoying as always. For some reason, even Miranda has been written like a ditz...we're left with 3 completely unlikeable performances and too many stereotypes to count. I'll wait for Kim Cattrall's next show!!

Just fabulous
nperichon16 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I'm so glad of that reboot. But I'm so so tired of this world where everybody keeps complaining about everything. What don't you find in that show you found in sex and the city?! Nothing! This is juste great. I'm so happy to see the girls facing the new themes of 2021! Big dies, it's boring, Big doesn't die, it's boring. Just stop! Nobody forces you to watch it!! If you're not happy, just skip it. I think this a such a shame to put 1/10 to a TV show in 2021!! There is a quality that doesn't deserve at all below 5! And if you're not happy, try to elaborate, I don' t think you'd be glad if your teacher put you 1/10 without any good explanations.

And just like that it gets worse!
binabojteslic21 December 2021
That's not even close to Sex and the City. If I get drink for everytime they mention how old they are I would passed out in first 15 minutes.

Samatha was 52 and she "rocked the dress!". Where are the fabulous 50s? What do we get in 50s? Alcoholic problems? Limping? Being deaf? Not having sex or fun? Realising that we are extremly WOKE? Seriously?

It's boring, not funny or entertaing. I watch it in hope for some kind of christmas miracle that it will become better, but it's only getting worse.

Congradulations guys for ruining fabulous show!

The next chapter
angellvr12319 December 2021
Sex in the city. Shows the gals in their 30's And just like that. The girls are in their 50's They are mature , they have issues 50 something has

They are not wild like they were in their 30's.

It's a great show. But I feel you must be in your 50's to appreciate and identify with it. If your in your 30's. Watch the original sex and the city.

This is a great show. And I hope there will be a season 2.

Oversaturated with wokism.
jancapek-cz19 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I should start by saying that I wish happiness to every person who doesn't harm others and who - for various reasons - finds themselves "apart". We should enjoy our differences, and our culture should reflect them to a reasonable proportion.

The operative word here is "proportion". It's becoming less and less takeable to see the entertainment industry drown itself in this gender "zeitgeist". Just in the third episode only, Charlotte's daughter doesn't feel like a girl, and is kicking about being called one. A non-binary standup comedian (comedienne? I honestly don't know anymore) reveals to us the story of "their" coming out, only to proceed to having a romantic moment with Miranda, who had admitted to not having sex with her man. I am beginning to think that the only person who doesn't have doubts about their gender identity is Mr. Big, who also happens to be dead. This doubting, we are also being told - by the above comedi-an/enne - is a healthy thing, far better than being certain.

Will somebody say that there is no bravery in riding the cultural tide in this pitiful manner? That it would have been far less cowardly, and far more admirable, to do so two decades ago? I guess the idea didn't occur to the creative directors.

Hard to tell why Kim Cattrall (Samantha) chose not to join the three white women for this installment of "Sex and the City". But it would make my day to hear "creative cowardice" as her main reason.

Finally, 2 good episodes.
hqeqnx18 July 2023
2.3 and 2.4 were the first episodes in this series to do SATC any justice. What has been an embarrassing return has finally shifted gears and is enjoyable. I literally started SATC from season 1 because this show is so bad. But finally, we are finally in a good spot. The story makes sense. The writing make sense. The characters are who they are supposed to be. It's nostalgic but current. It's not too self aware. This feels like we are headed on the right direction. Keep this going. I have 102 more characters before they let me post this so let me just say this - keep these two writers. Whatever they are doing works. Everyone else step back.

The writing... you need a lobotomy to find this funny. I ADORED the original series and to see our beloved characters completely trashed, it hurts. So disappointed.

Che Diaz is really disgusting.
mshavzin30 March 2022
What horrifically awful character. She isnt even pleasant to look at. The fashion is good, but even a genius fashion guru can only do so much if they have to dress a human that looks like a tank. Now Im getting catty, because this show is wearing out my last nerve. Thats it. And what is Miranda doing? Isnt she married, and straight?

Clapter
bbraat9 November 2023
There are many things being shoved down our throats during this series that interrupt the already strained comedy. Che is a low point for this season. Whenever she (no, I don't care) speaks, the camera pans to the other people in the room and their fake laughter. When she does standup comedy as on her Netflix special it is as funny as open heart surgery. She just tells the usual anecdotes that aren't jokes and aren't funny and the camera has to pan to the "clapter" of the audience.

Miranda suddenly becoming gay at 55 doesn't make sense since one of her best friends went gay for a while (Samantha). Spending most of SATC being angry at all men gave her plenty of opportunity to consider that option 20 years ago. With a start like this we can figure out that a large part of the cast is going Lgtxyz.

This show makes me so happy! I love everything about this reboot!!! The humor, drama, and serious scenes all work. People are judging this show way to harshly.
