This chilly 2009 doc about the precarious lives of various different monkeys in rural Japan, not just the group that iconically submerse themselves in hot springs, but wilder and urban groups too. It's a mellow documentary with some beautiful photography - it's nice to see it through the lens of primatologist Takayo Soma but having her conduct a voiceover via dubbing felt quite an awkward decision. Especially against the soothing tones of the evergreen Iain Glen. Oh to be a monkey in a hot spring.
