EXCITING AND EMOTIONAL!
ollieandmum11 June 2021
This was an absolutely awesome episode and for sure the best of the series so far!!

This was written as the original series finale (before the series was extended to 20 episodes) and boy would they have gone out on a high - but I am SO thankful that we don't have to wait for months to see how the family evolve through the fallout from the last three episodes.

A big shout out to the writers and Show Runner for keeping us on the edge of our seats for the full hour - not to mention all the yelling I did at the screen!!

Can't wait to see where the rest of the series is going, its so refreshing to have a show not stretch out plot points for months and months!!

This was by far my favorite episode of the season. Edge of my seat drama. Great hour of television.

Another fantastic episode
moviegeek_ny11 June 2021
This episode was thrilling - just one gut punch after the next. Definitely a worthy resolution to one of the major arcs of this season. The stakes were extremely high, and the show managed to keep us on the edge of the seat. Absolutely stellar performances from everyone on the cast, as usual.

The Best Episode Yet!
waz-loz11 June 2021
The gripping suspense, drama and edge-of-your-seat action is incredible. I enjoyed it so much I actually rewound several scenes. However make sure you have tissues at the ready.

If this series is not renewed for several seasons I'd be amazed. The first drama series I've been interested in for years.

Warning: Spoilers
Hoyt- a sweetheart, but when Geri rebuffed his proposal- we knew his days were numbered. As adorable as 2nd bananas are (Goose in Top gun...etc.) they will always be the sacrificial lambs. Really like the "old folks"- Walkers parents (baby boomers get this)- hope the writers keep developing their dynamic.

Can You Absolutely Despise an Episode & Yet See the Talent?
Sarah42311 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
One of my favorite characters died tonight.

And from the preview, another seems poised to step right over his body for "true romance." Blergh.

Still another I don't much care for looks to be on the road to writers room redemption. And also "true romance, teen spirit style."

Since this hasn't yet aired West Coast, I'll leave the names out and avoid any spoilers, but the situation for me is right on a knife's edge.

I have grown to love these characters, some more than others. But if we're only here to push a romantic (usually het) agenda, I'm out.

The acting? Superb.

The plotting? Suspenseful.

Music cues? OMG, great.

Videography? Captured the mood beautifully.

Hence the nine out of ten star rating.

But I lost a really absolutely cool character tonight.

And I think it was to pave the way for a ship.

Been there. Done that. Not doing it again.

I'm so very sad tonight.

Great Show even Better Episode

Warning: Spoilers
Awesome episode. It worth the 3 weeks wait...I guessed Hoyt is going to die (the actor not in the cast...the character not much important at all...and Mat Barr has another series that he is in the main cast - Blood and Treasure check it out). I not now to much work of Padalecki (yes i belong to the minority that haven´t seen Supernatural) but is great in this series and the acting...Like The actress that portrays the mother, Mitcj Pileggi IS Mitch Pileggi. NOTE - The daughter is a little bit annoying, maybe something will change in the character. To Finalize: LIAM Saves The Day (Kinf of)

Involving characters
infinwin16 June 2021
All of the segments have been involving and dramatic, very "watchable" cinamatically. But this show had me worried! Was Liam dead? Would Cordell be shot as he drive into the mayhem? Well written, well filmed, well done all!

Ridiculous. My wife was rating it at "New Amsterdam" levels of stupid.
unsolicited-228 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Last week, we finally cancelled our TiVo's season pass to "New Amsterdam" and deleted the episodes we hadn't watched. It had become that preachy, unrealistic, and, frankly, stupid.

Watching this episode of Walker had my wife commenting that it was just as bad. One or two more of these and it will be gone as well.

Is everyone in this family an idiot? When you are in a house where you have guns, is the first thing you do upon seeing armed men in the front yard is to charge out the door unarmed and run towards them from 50 yards away? Once said family member is shot in the front yard, is there a rule that everyone else must then run outside unarmed as well? If you're being forced to rob a bank but the person forcing you is not there, is there a reason you can't speak to the manager?

The actions of everyone in this story ranged from stupid to brain dead.

And, for everyone wondering what's going to happen between Stella and Trevor, the real answer should be "Nothing", as Trevor is now on the hook for felony murder and kidnapping, so his prospects for getting the death penalty in Texas are pretty strong. Unfortunately, I'm sure the writers will come up with some ludicrous reason why he isn't prosecuted and gone.

Seriously, our prospects for continuing to watch this show are hanging by a thread.

Edge of your seat, but only because I was falling off while falling asleep.
kbrenkb10 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I get it, the idea of shows like this is to suspend reality and your belief simultaneously for a short period of time. But can we at least get some realism in the plots? Do the writers of these shows really take everyone for being so stupid that they can believe something like this would ever happen?

1. This is a Ranger, a law enforcement officer. There is absolutely no way a criminal redneck like Clint is able to sneak up on him so easily and his entire family that are supposed to be hardened gun-toting ranchers.

2. Trevor is the most moronic character in this entire episode, why does he so readily accept his lifetime criminal fathers story over that of a decorated law enforcement officer? And then continue to help his dumb plan even after an innocent man is shot for no reason..? I get that teenagers can be full of angst and emotions, but no teenager in their right mind does something so stupid, especially when they know exactly what the consequences are! "No one was supposed to get hurt." Ohh really moron? What did you think was going to happen?

3. There were at least sixteen opportunities for escape within the first 15 minutes of the episode and yet a Vietnam veteran let's his guard down and doesn't raise the alarm immediately to his sons partner, his son who has time and again shown his ability to handle himself is snuck up on and cornered so easily without putting up any fight at all, and then when a gunshot rings out the family inside all run out unarmed??

4. There is no way a Ranger would think that 2 guys holding his family hostage are in any way some kind of match for a SWAT team and a whole host of rangers coming through every door in the house.

5. Wife finds out husband has cancer and is pissed off at him instead of being sad.. At what point are writers going to stop writing women as emotional wrecks who cannot control themselves and write them as actual human beings who can reason..?

At this point it is just lazy writing and the writers clearly think that their entire audience is full of the most gullible people in the world. I would give this episode 0 stars if I could. Complete waste of my time.

A Pure Headache!
candygremlin14 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I have been wanting this show to have more cases and action, but as soon as the action comes, it turns out to be the cheesiest action episode ever. These outdated tropes are getting ridiculous! Do the writers have to always use them in these episodes? The way the characters were reacting did not make sense- I mean Bonham not calling 911, but decides to medicate his son who has been shot? I just had to shake my head.

The acting is still subpar and the actors who are doing a good job are just placed on the sidelines. In this episode Coby Bell (who plays Captain James) had practically 3 or four lines to say! You would think that his character would be more involved in these episodes since he is the captain. Instead it seems like Micki and Walker are in charge of the whole police station- with Micki acting like the captain.

I know Jared Padalecki is the lead character of this show, but Lindsey Morgan isn't and she has more scenes than any of the other actors and her acting is bad. Why aren't the other actors being shown more? What's the point of having all these characters when the kids, Walker, and Micki are the only ones who are mostly being shown? The writers need to give more screen time to Coby Bell, Mitch Pileggi, Molly Hagan, Keegan Allen, and Jeff Pierre. They are very talented actors and it doesn't make sense that they are rarely shown when they can add more to show. Maybe if the writers would give them more scenes, it might help with the ratings.
