A very dull end to the series.

Luke manages to contrive a way for him and Maxine to spend a weekend together, whilst they share a blissful weekend together, Helen is left cleaning the curtains.

Frustrating, that's the word I have for this final episode from series one, it's just a totally frustrating watch. There has been potential throughout the series, there were opportunities to do something daring in this series finale, instead they just churned out an incredibly safe, dull and repetitive story. Luke and Maxine find time, squabble, he makes jokes about the rabbit, that's it in a nutshell.

Unfortunately they've managed to make Helen a little dull here, at times she provided some moments of interest, but here she is literally left as a bored housewife, questioning whether she's a nice person or not, the early spark that she had has gone.

This could, and should have been so much better. Only notable for being Jack Galloway's final episode as Luke, let's be honest it didn't work for him, good actor, but I never bought into his relationship with Maxine, zero spark, zero chemistry, hopefully his replacement offers something.

4/10.
