Out of all the episodes i've watched of this show, i can't point out a single worthless sequence. Everything i've ever seen is perfect in every way. And then this dropped, SAVAGERY, it's as if the show takes you into it. I mean, literally. When they're glad, i feel the same way. When they're broken, likewise. This show had a huge impact on me. I have never witnessed anything so established and faithful to the story. Nothing is imperfect. A million gratitude from a huge fan. Love AOT.

Eren 😯 Mikasa 😢 Armin 😡 Levi 💪
jaberadam-7280821 March 2021
It really was a great episode and deserves all the high ratings and positive reviews it got. Apart from the events, I did not expect that Studio Mappa would achieve such success in a very short circumstance. The graphics were amazing, the facial expressions were wonderfully accurate and were able to convey to the viewer the feelings of the characters in the series, I was really close to crying in this episode exactly when Eren told Mikasa that he hates her I felt like I was in the same place Armin. if I were there I will hit him in the same way. Without forgetting the most amazing vocal performance, especially Eren's voice performer, I admire his voice very much.

The episode starts from where the previous episode ended with the meet we have waited so long since the end of Season Three. But this time, Eren's character is very variable from previous seasons, perhaps this is the best development of a character in the world of series, of course, along with the development of Walter White's character from the series Breaking Bad. I think now, especially after this episode and after the violence against his friends, Eren became hated by some people more than ever, but let me remind you that Eren's words are not from the heart. Remember with me when he saved Mikasa in the first season at the age of nine and then saved her in the final episode of Season Two when he carried her on his back to escape from the giants. Remember with me when he saved Armin and almost died instead of him in the fifth episode of the first season when the giant devoured him. Remember with me when he collapsed in tears in the Midnight Sun episode of the third season and quarreled with Levi to save Armin instead of Captain Erwin.

Levi is suffering a lot from losing his friends. Perhaps this is the most suffered character in the series, but this time it seems that he is ready to sacrifice anything. Zeke knew that Levi was suffering from this issue, but Levi surprised him and killed all his friends who turned into giants and he caught the beast titan with ease in a very wonderful scene.. Finally I'm so excited the meeting between Eren against Levi, I can't wait

Reminds me of Dostoevsky
Sherlemious21 March 2021
Isayama has proven to the world how much of a genius architect he is, how thoughtful and clinical he is, in worldbuilding, as in the big picture, as well as in the details; the characters' thoughts and emotional motivations and desires. The table scene has one of the best character complexion portrayals I've ever seen, if not the best. It is not on the surface whether someone is being 'forced' to obey certain orders, or if someone is being emotionally manipulated. We can never be sure. Each one of us interprets this in his ways. Whether Eren meant what he was saying, whether he changed, or altered his views and opinions, whether he cares or doesn't care; this is something we can never be sure of and this is exactly the point.

Warning: Spoilers
Watching the beast titan getting his ass pummeled by levi was really satisfying. The table scene was really extreme as well. Overall this episode was great and definitely deserves a 9.9, 9.8 is just way too low for something this masterful.

bardy921 March 2021
Intensely shocking and vile and every minute was incredible. Truly horrific and deserved of its title. every different plot line shared the theme of violence and cruelty and I really liked how thematically cohesive this made the episode. The next episode was also fantastic

I was in shock..
and_mikkelsen18 February 2023
I feel like that is the best way to describe this episode.. shocking! One shocking moment lead to the next!

This season has kept Eren's motivations, goals and thoughts, in the dark! Before we always knew what was going on in his head! In this season we knew something was going on inside him but we never knew what! This episode gives us "The table scene" where he finally opens up and allows for a glimpse into his thoughts!

The episode also lives up to its name by showing some brutal and emotional scenes! The soundtrack and action was amazing and things just keep getting more and more exciting!

This episode was straight heat, no other way to describe it. The table scene was done perfectly as well as Levi going back at it with Zeke yet another time. The cgi looked amazing and the ost choices fit so well imo. Absolute banger 💯

Levi vs Sieg animation is Bad
o-boulianne22 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The story is amazing but like for the rest of the season 4, MAPPA ruined that Masterpiece loll. At this point I hope one day, a remake of the anime will be made.

All those mainstream anime/AOT fans praising those episodes like it was great...jeeezzzz....

Levi vs Sieg fight is one of the worst fight I ever seen in anime history. One of the most important fight of the entire anime resume with cut scene with no action. Those tree branch fallllling was so gooooooooood.........

Shame on them to have ruined this masterpiece.

AOT is the GOT of anime....great until final season

Ever since I was a kid, Mikasa.....
harrisonjfox21 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
There is no words to describe this episode. Surpassing both and hero and assault for me this episode delivers one of the most shocking and heart breaking turn of events in all of fiction as well as the much hyped rematch between mortal enemies humanities greatest soldier Levi and beast Titan Zeke. Everything was done to perfection. The way in which our beloved trio fell apart. Erens speech was incredible and the Eren and Armin fight was perfect from a narrative point but so hard to watch. Then we switch focus to Levi who no matter how many times he saves himself can never save anyone around him. After the wine reveal last episode Levi loses all of his subordinates before clashing and destroying Zeke once again in a perfectly animated fight. And then the Yeagerists finally seize entire control of the island in an amazingly symbolic scene of Erens ideology of moving forward clashing with the past.

"Ever since I was a kid.. I've always hated you... Mikasa"

Words we never thought Eren would say. Totally amazing.

It's a 9.9 for me!

Warning: Spoilers
The visuals were great in the start, In the Levi scene too until beast titan appeared it was very beautiful! Also when Zeke did transform last week it seemed like not so well done CGI but this week it blended in much better, I don't know if they reworked it, I wished for it to be Sakuga completely but it didn't take me out of the experience this time so I enjoyed it a lot!

Arguably the Best Episode Yet
BadgerStorm434521 March 2021
2 of the best scenes in the series were in this episode. This gave us insight into the Eren and his elaborate plan to keep his friend's safe by pushing them away. We also saw what probably was the best fight in Attack on Titan until S4 Part 2 is released.

Let's talk...
joaomarcosbfc29 March 2021
I don't know what's going on with Eren, but I know two things: Attack on Titan is still perfect and Zeke is still Levi's b*tch. What an amazing character Ackerman is. Of the only ones to remain faithful to what is and represents. Tense, painful and fun episode. I can't get enough of praising MAPPA for its excellent work. They continue to improve with each episode. At the end I ask myself: Who is not a slave in this anime?

Hobo Eren warned us
sherjan-aamir22 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Remember the intense conversation that Eren and Falco had on the bench when Eren was undercover? I have been thinking about that conversation and what how it foreshadowed the rest of the season. Basically, Eren (narrator) told Falco (the audience) that those who step into war have to endure hell and after giving it their all, they may find light at the end of the tunnel in the form of hope or it may just be another hell. Now, how did it foreshadow the coming events? It was Eren telling us that as the scouts invade Marley (Hell), we were all convinced that we are getting hope that Eldians have finally done something against oppression and yet, everything after that went to hell. Eren turned into a cult leader, Levi almost died, Hange and the scouts got taken hostage and all that war led to was another hell but is it truly over? Is the pain that us as the audience endure each week as Eren tells Mikasa he always hated her worth it? The only way we will know is by keep moving forward (putting ourselves through a blast of emotions each week and going through to hell until the show ends). Love it.
