Are we even sure we know what this show is about??
vittoriagaffuri7 September 2021
When you think an episode can't sink any lower than S3, you'll be unpleasantly surprised. The black and white scenes and references to sitcoms were horrible and a disgrace to the original show. Dynasty is a drama for all ages and it's meant to be about business, family and female empowerment, not nonsense comedy, Falliam romcom or a platform to launch Liz's future singing career. I even wonder why David Israel and Josh Reims still work on this show when we all know Chris Fife is the one who knows the true essence of the original and deserves to be the showrunner more than anybody else!

What a terrible episode
kand-6971829 May 2021
After 3 amazing episodes, we get an episode so bad, that I felt actual physical pain watching it. 4x04 was terrible, and worse than anything from season 3. That sitcom/ black and white stuff was pointless and not funny. So much for season 4 being a game chancer. They give the fans 3 great episodes and then this dumb and insulting episode. Who writes this nonsense??

I love that the show turns more to comedy
SallyWilliams31 May 2021
In the old days we loved the over the top drama and the ridiculous but entertaining storylines, I still love the original. But it's a very good move that they turned this reboot more & more into comedy gold. Lately I laughed more watching Dynasty than watching the current sitcoms. I don't think it would work today if they played it all straight & serious, we're not in the 80s anymore. Elizabeth Gillies is really excellent in her portrayal of the daughter at the edge of nervous breakdown, dealing with the childish adults. I get why some people don't like this direction of the show, but this makes their take on the number 1 super soap of the 80s very enjoyable.

It was bad. Very very bad.

Warning: Spoilers
Why would Fallon and Liam even be watching I Love Lucy as their lives fall apart. The premise is so dumb and the execution is even worse. And as the title reads, it was bad. Not much more needs to be said, it was just bad, plainly stupidly boringly bad.

Everybody Loves the Carringtons

Personally, I LOVED this episode. Some people need to realize this show was rebooted from the 80's. Of course there's going to be some sitcom scenes throughout this episode. Stop complaining about a wonderful episode. Alexis & Fallon are starting a war and I'm all for it! Blake is going after the Priest to gain Cristal back. Ahh, next week's episode is going to be great.

Not my Dynasty
fabexox31 May 2021
This episode just reaffirmed how useless Kirby, Liam and Sam are. They should pack their bags along with whoever wrote this "episode".

Not my cup of tea
Citiikane30 May 2021
I understand not every episode can be a smash knockout like the first three this season, or 1x22 or 2x14, but this is not what I've come to expect or love from Dynasty. Hopefully they step it up for next week.

I'm confused, is this a business drama or a lazy sitcom?
josisow31 May 2021
How long until Dynasty stops getting treated like a joke and stats getting written like it's a show for adults? I'm honestly confused as to who they think their audience is... The singing and filler episodes like this did, and will continue, to drive fans away. Hell, even in the other reviews people are on the verge of leaving.

Whoever wrote this episode should be fired on the spot
gumbo230 May 2021
One of the stupidest ideas I have seen for this show, regardless, it still wins as worst episode of the series, somehow beating out the noir and musical episodes of last season. Whoever thought that this sitcom thing would work must be smoking something, because it's as bad as Aunt Alexis, house of devaruax or whatever nonsense it was called, and introducing Vanessa and leaving Monica out all into one for ludicrous and bad ideas!

Sure, Everyone Loves The Carrington's, but everyone also hates David Israel.

What can I say except I hope you never work again after this pathetic excuse for television escapism.

If I took a shot...

Every time I felt second hand embarrassment watching this episode, I would of died of alcohol poisoning 8 minutes into the episode, and even that is being generous. You know an episode is bad if the only things you remember is the stuff you hated.

That's it
wogimot30 May 2021
I hope you're happy, I am no longer watching a show that has episodes for toddlers or people with brain damage that constantly insults me. The season started strong but it was hard enough getting through Season 3, I refuse to watch another childish episode like this again. Sad, I was beginning to get invested in Alexis and Dominiques storyline's aswell.

4x04 "Everybody Loves The Carringtons"
daviendancy29 May 2021
I thought this episode was boring and the b&w parts were just so unnecessary just like last years'. This was one of the show's weakest episodes ever. I hope next week's episode is better.

Bored and desperate
senohiy30 May 2021
Throughout watching this episode I was on the verge of turning off my T. V and never watching another episode again. The only thing that got me through was knowing that a competent and talented writer who respects women and doesn't make jokes off them was on next weeks episode. Can't we leave filler episodes like these in the past? Honestly they are just boring and add nothing to the storyline. Just a waste of time.

And there goes the black and white special...
m-4782620 March 2022
Why is Samy Jo still in the show, again? They may think it's a soft parody version of the original series. But it's not. They are just as corny and over the top as this version was, when it's trying to go a more serious approach with its storylines. The thing that was so good about 80s Dynasty, was that it embraced its extravaganza and never shied away from it. Or whispered in the viewers ears « we're being like that, in a sarcastic way » every ten seconds. All it does is making this « modernization » look cheesy and mean spirited to the one it's rebooting. Ungrateful is not cool, I hope they'll rectify that soon.
