Now that we know for sure that "Begin Human" is returning for a fourth season on Syfy, the three primary cast members have recorded a video for the fans in which they speculate a bit on what's ahead for Sally, Aidan, and Josh.
"Being Human" stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath, Sam Huntington, and Kristen Hager as vampire Aidan, ghost Sally, and newlywed werewolves Josh and Nora. Together they struggle to suppress their supernatural secrets and temptations and live their lives as close to normal as possible.
“‘Being Human’ really hit its stride creatively this year,” said Mark Stern, President of Original Content, Syfy, and Co-Head of Original Content, Universal Cable Productions (and we agree wholeheartedly). “This show has become a signature series for Syfy, and we are thrilled to have it return in 2014.”
"Being Human" is a Muse Entertainment production and is based on the acclaimed series created by Toby Whithouse and produced by Touchpaper.

As we suspected would happen when we posted our "Being Human" panel and roundtable highlights from San Diego Comic-Con, Syfy has released the "sizzle reel" shown during the event that recaps Season 2 and provides a few teases of Season 3.
Check it out along with our photo gallery of showrunner Anna Fricke and stars Sam Witer, Sam Huntington, and Meaghan Rath. In addition, since we still can't stop thinking about how hilarious everyone was, we're re-posting below the two panel excerpts included in our previous story.

Chicago – The Blu-Ray Round-Up has looked around the office after the dust has settled on the major September HD releases and realized that there are a few remaining titles worthy of a mention. Before frost warnings, Halloween decorations, and planning for Thanksgiving, pick up one of these five titles. You won’t regret it.
Note: The Round-Up is designed merely to present synopsis, cast & crew, tech specs, and special features information on titles that may otherwise fall through the cracks for your purchasing perusal. Having said that, “American Beauty” is a must-own in HD just for the gorgeous cinematography of Oscar-winner Conrad L. Hall and the film has held up much-better than the cynical haters would have you believe. It’s a great movie. And “Bored to Death” continues to be one of the more intriguing shows on cable. If we had to pick favorites it would be those two.

Syfy's Warehouse 13 returns for Season 2 tonight at 9:00 Pm. If you haven't checked it out, and you like sci-fi, you should tune in. The show centers around a government storage facility that houses supernatural artifacts collected through the centuries. The heroes, Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering (played by Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly), are agents assigned to try to recover missing objects.
We had a chance to speak with Eddie and Joanne about their relationship both on- and off-screen, the dangers of being a warehouse agent, and how much input they have in their characters' development.
Q: Do either of you have a preference if Pete and Myka get together as a couple or not?
Eddie: Well I’ve been saying that in Season 15 Pete and Myka start bumping their wheelchairs into one another in kind of a mating ritual but that won’t be for a long time.

hollywoodnews.com: Syfy premieres its four-hour event movie “The Phantom” on Sunday (6/20) — with all involved in the modern reboot of the classic comic book tale anxiously awaiting viewer response, which will determine whether the dark super hero will be brought back for a full-on series. It’s an attractive if daunting prospect for 27-year-old hottie Ryan Carnes (“Desperate Housewives”), who’s taken on the role of Kit Walker — actually, the son of the comic book Kit Walker — a promising law student yanked out of his life in a terrible way and confronted with a future that entails taking over the Phantom persona.
“I had a great time. It was by far the most rewarding experience of my career, the biggest, the most responsibility I’ve had as an actor. I ate it up. I loved it,” he says.
But it wasn’t easy.

Robert Halmi's movie company could be heading for bankruptcy court. Rhi Entertainment, which has produced TV movies including "10.5 Apocalypse" and "Black Swarm," is restructuring its "corporate equity structure," which could include filing for bankruptcy, according to Variety. The plan might also mean the company would no longer be publicly held. Rhi reportedly needs to restructure roughly $600 million in debt with 14 lenders. The company assumed that debt when Halmi reacquired his company from Hallmark Entertainment in 2006, according to Variety. "Clearly, we were over-leveraged," Halmi told Variety regarding the 2006 reacquisition.

Whilst Marvel and DC enjoy the fruits of their filmic labours, there are still plenty of classic superheroes who have fallen by the wayside, like “The Ghost Who Walks” himself, The Phantom!
The Phantom has had a chequered Hollywood history: there was the mediocre movie in 1996, along with a good cartoon, a bad videogame and a guest starring role in Defenders of the Earth. The character has now been adapted into a Syfy TV mini-series (which is also a backdoor pilot for a possible ongoing series) set in the modern day and looks like no other Phantom I’ve ever seen. According to the official synopsis:
The legendary superhero returns in this modern-day and action packed miniseries event. When Kit Walker (Ryan Carnes) learns of his father’s death, the adventurous young man inherits the mantle of his superhero father. As the new Phantom, the 21st in the Walker line,...

Sony may have to make a decision that should make plenty of people happy, including me: make a Ghost Rider sequel without Nic Cage. The actor wants to come back, but has a jam-packed schedule, and if Sony doesn’t get production underway but November 14 of this year, Marvel gets the character rights back, and Disney would love to be in the Ghost Rider business. Ryan Carnes is set to play the world’s least exciting super hero, The Phantom. The first trailer is out from SyFy’s four-hour miniseries, meant to serve as a possible backdoor pilot for a series.

Syfy announced its slate of original movies for the 2010-2011 season, including the promised "Sharktopus."
"Riverworld," based on the classic sci fi novels by Philip Jose Farmer, is a four-hour movie event that stars "Battlestar Galactica's" Tahmoh Penikett and "Smallville's" Laura Vandervoort.
The story centers on the greater part of humanity that lived on Earth suddenly finding themselves resurrected on a terraformed planet known as Riverworld. Among these people are war correspondent Matt Ellman (Penikett) and his fiancee (Vandervoort), both of whom had been killed and now find themselves alive and kicking, although separated. Matt enlists the help of Mark Twain (Mark Deklin) and a 13th-century female samurai warrior Tomoe (Jeananne Goossen).
Another four-hour movie event, "The Phantom," premieres in June and reimagines the classic comic strip. Ryan Carnes stars as Chris Walker/The Phantom, along with the legendary Isabella Rossellini as the villainous Lithia.

Really, he’s wearing purple. If you’re going to go and change the Phantom’s costume completely, shouldn’t you also change the color, too? Why bother holding onto the ridiculous purple if you’ve already chucked the costume? I’m just sayin’. Anyways, that’s probably one of the things you’ll be wondering when Rhi Entertainment’s 21st century version of The Phantom lands on the SyFy Channel as a mini-series (and backdoor pilot) sometime in 2010. The first trailer for it below. The legendary superhero returns in this modern-day and action packed miniseries event. When Kit Walker (Ryan Carnes) learns of his father’s death, the adventurous young man inherits the mantle of his superhero father. As the new Phantom, the 21st in the Walker line, Kit vows to uphold and honor his ancestors’ creed—to fight crime and injustice throughout the world. Starring Ryan Carnes, Cas Anvar,...
