ADE DUE DAMBALLA. GIVE ME THE POWER, I BEG OF YOU!

Warning: Spoilers
From what we saw from the 80s flashback, we get to see Charles Lee Ray in some club watching a girl trying to hit on a man ending with him walking away. Charles Lee Ray is invested by the woman leading the woman to lead him to... Tiffany! Later, he watches two women making out on the bed before grabbing one of their necks and holding a knife to her head. Tiffany smiles begging him to kill her, but instead, he stabs the other girl in the stomach. He hands Tiffany his knife allowing her to do the job, and this is where the fun begins! Fascinated by killing someone for the first time, the two make out in the bed covered in blood. In the end, Tiffany remarks to Charles that he should go by Chucky. Not going to lie though, but the voiceovers in the flashbacks were wack. During the episode, we see some familiar faces where Nica (( partially Chucky since he spilt his soul into two. Meanwhile, he transferred half of his soul to Tommy. What a twist that the normal Chucky body didn't actually "contain" Charles Lee Ray which led Jake, Lexy, and Devon into thinking that finally killed Chucky. )) is now with Tiffany killing multiple men for two weeks.

Overall, the episode was mainly focusing on the struggles of the characters who are going through the recent murders, and it does the execution well. We have Lexy going through PTSD whenever she sees a Good Guy Doll. Her parents have frequent arguments. I do like how Nathan is becoming a likable father confronting his younger daughter. I strongly dislike Michelle. There is everything that is wrong with her. I wonder what will happen in the next episode since Evans saw her son holding hands with Jake. Good episode!

7-8/10.

Good episode
rallder1910 November 2021
Not great, not bad. Overall I'm really enjoying the series. The one thing about this episode is the audio dubbed over the younger versions of Chucky and Tiffany. It's SOOOOOO badly done it was laughable 😂😂.. the voices do not match the faces at all... I actually was closing my eyes and cringing at some of it cuz it was THAT bad lol.

Still didn't want to rate the episode too badly because, again, the series is good and really feels in line with the whole film series as well.

Best Best Best

After the first episode that started with fun, the series evolved into a completely different direction in 5 episodes.

This series is definitely the most faithful/closest adaptation to the first Chucky movie.

Let this series set an example for the series made for cult movies...

By the way ; always Zachary and Bjorgvin.

The best couple of the 21st century.

Dark and fun!

Dark and humorous fun that blends old and new in ways that isn't convoluted but makes this little toy a lot more threatening. The editing was a bit off at times, but that wasn't enough to downgrade this episode.

OK Episode but unfortunately ....

Warning: Spoilers
Chucky has a very short Screentime (as a Doll) in this Episode, I think we can see Chucky less than 6 Minutes and again he killed only person (like in the previous episodes) I hope Chucky has more screentime in the following episodes and the Bodycount should be much higher. I really liked the Flashback Scenes with Chucky and Tiffany in the 80s and that this show takes places after the events of Cult of Chucky.

Warning: Spoilers
If you're a fan of the old films, you know what the twist is at the end when there is 2 dolls (Child's Play 2) But the episode interacts with modern songs to make it hilarious and the best episode so far. Couple that with Tiffany, we have a great follow on to 80s Chucky. And we hear the chant to move his soul. Excellent!!

I really loved the first 2 episodes but

Warning: Spoilers
I really loved the first 2 episodes but the 3rd one focus in other subjects. They focus too much on the story of the characters and its kinda weird to watch it because they are children and its not so interesting.

The 4th episode again focus in other things and Chucky didn't had enough screen time on this episode again this time and that start to bother me the episodes are like 40 minutes you cant just saw us chucky for 10 minutes hahaha.

Come on that continuous to the 5th episode chuckys screen time was so little i don't know they try to complicate the situation with Nica from the hospital that in this series chucky transfer his soul in her body and now are with Tiffany ??? Woow wait a minute !!! Tiffany was killed in the movies and transfer her soul in a doll too how now is she in her actual body ???everything looks a bit off They have to understand we love chucky i dont want to watch Nica trying so hard to play her self as chucky she is not chucky at least she had to have the voice of Brad Dourif. I hope its get better !!!!

Little Little Lies
Prismark1029 December 2023
Chucky shifts gear in this episode. It now explores the backstory of the Chucky movies more. Even playing around with gender with the casting of Charles Lee Ray.

Jake, Devon, and Lexy go looking for the disfigured Chucky doll that has been discarded thrown down the hospital's garbage chute.

The trio find the doll and stamp all over it. Thinking they have destroyed the evil supernatural doll. They will be in for a surprise when the see the state of the school principal.

The flashback in the episode has an adult Charles Lee Ray meeting Tiffany for the first time during the 1980s. How they got involved in their first kill.

The show seems to have changed from how it first started. Even Lexy seems more likeable, it is her mother who is more horrid.

Thy main development is the addition of Tiffany and of Nica as well.

Mostly Boring, Somewhat Underwhelming
vapidcity10 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I would care about Jake's aunt situation if she had more lines or a significant presence on the show, even better if her 'secret' implied she wasn't who she says she is or that she's possibly being unfaithful with someone we know.

There is plenty to criticize on this one but one more thing I'll mention is how they ruined possessed Nica for me, I had hopes she was lucid and could see Chucky's damage but instead we got an overused multiple personality disorder trope where they change after a trigger. I hope it won't be the case long term.

For the positives, nice to see Chucky leaving his victims in plain sight while also hiding, in plain sight. Need more of that. Also interested in where they're going with Junior from this point onwards.

Very Entertaining [8/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Chucky Season 1 Episode 5: Episode 4 was amazing and I gave it a rating of 8.5/10. I really don't care about the romance between Jake and Devon. So Caroline gets a new good guy doll named Tommy. I was sure that she wouldnt like any other doll, I thought she would want the original Chucky back. I think Chucky doesn't like the fact that he got replaced. Is Chucky really dead? So its official, Jake and Devon are now a couple. Bree, Junior's mother has stage 4 cancer? Damn. Nica and Tiffany are back? Didnt expect that. Nica is not under Chucky's influence anymore? Interesting! Chucky killed the principal? Who did it? He transferred his soul into the Tommy doll? Damn, Chucky knows what he is doing. Another great episode, my rating is 8/10.

Not as good as the previous episodes
funnycommentor30 July 2022
The plot of the 5th episode was very different than the previous episodes. There were many flashbacks, especially about Chucky's past. Also, on that episode there were added 2 new characters, they weren't very interesting. The flashbacks were kinda boring and uninteresting and there were too many references about the movies of the "Chucky" franchise. The kill on episode 5, was off-screen, but it was so brutal. In my opinion, it was the most boring episode of the show, so far. I hope the next episodes are gonna be more intense.

JEER - (3 stars out of 10)
BJG-Reviews7 December 2021
The stage curtains open ...

Sigh. Well, that episode was crap. If you read my review of the episode before this one, you will remember me saying that it is usually around the mid-way point in a season series where the filmmakers lose control. They just did. This was just bad, ugly, and completely stupid. Because I am so invested into the story now and have put 5 hours of my time into watching it up to this point, I will continue on.

After the gruesome murder in the hospital, the whole town is on alert for a killer. The Cross family return home bringing with them Caroline who is surprised by her Dad with another vintage Good Guy doll named Tommy (Child's Play 2 reference) which delights her. Jake and Lexy have joined forces with Devon and the three of them hunt down Chucky and destroy him. Meanwhile, in a motel room nearby, we catch up with Tiffany and Nica (who is under Chucky's control) as they have continued their muderous ways as well. The final scene, however, clearly shows that Chucky has somehow survived and is still actively at work.

A lot happens in this episode. Jake and Devon take their relationship to the next level, we finally find out what Bree's secret is, and we get a backstory on how Charles and Tiffany first met. Both Jennifer Tilly and Fiona Dourif return to reprise their movie roles. The hotel scene with the two of them was just terrible - ugly in every sense of the word and a huge distraction to the main story. I didn't care for it at all. Also, I am beginning to have a large dislike for Caroline. She is spoiled rotten to the core, no doubt an influence of her mother, the Mayor. To be honest, as a whole, most of the cast is beginning to annoy me now.

I can't recommend this episode. It moves the story forward, but tries to give homage to past characters and situations that is starting to convolute the story. I give it only 3 stars out of 10. I have three episodes left to go. I hope they get back to the main story line and simplify it back down to how it started.
