Warning: Spoilers
Excellent episode. Alright, from what we see from the flashbacks. It was all an ordinary day in 1987 in Hackensack until Charles and Tiffany are interested in a classic Cherry Red Car. They make a deal with this old man. Eventually, they slit the old man's throat driving away. Oh well, what to say about this episode. A lot of surprises, yes. As much I dislike Junior. I feel so damn bad for him having to witness his dead mother's body landing on the top of the car window, staring at him just after being pushed out of the window of a fricking twenty-story building (( from what I assume )) with a mail cart. What a great way to get trauma, and an unsatisfying death for her. Before we get to Kim Evans. I have to say that scene where Devon comes out to her was a heartwarming scene, and she had no problem with it. But damn, she got attacked by Chucky causing her to fall down the stairs, and break her neck. Poor Devon, god damn. But, at least Bree won't be suffering from Stage 4 cancer anymore. Also fun fact, the actor for Junior's mom was the main chick in Jason X! It took me long to realize, smh. Don Mancini wasn't joking where he said his mission with the series is to make people cry. They were beginning to become likable characters.

It was also great to see our beloved Andy and her foster sister known as Kyle. "GOD DAMN WOMEN DRIVERS." Epic dynamic. Laurie Strode is Jake's favorite final girl, huh? Well, I think my personal favorite final girl would either be Tina from Part 7 of Friday the 13th or Sidney from Scream. The plot progresses as Tiffany and Nica / partially Chucky move to Hackensaw. I wouldn't mind if we see Chucky killing off Lexy's mom in the next few episodes.

9/10.

great stuff

Warning: Spoilers
The good thing about the show is that nobody is safe.

I did not think they would kill an important character like the aunt.. even tho it was ridiculous.. a small cleaning cart and pushed so weakly and her being thrown through the window like that lol but anyway, not gonna miss her at all.. she was annoying and boring.. but still not worse than barbara lynn woods character..

dude but the cop too?

Well, we choose to ignore the ridiculous fights because come on.. it would be ok for him to kill someone who was unaware like the maid for example.. she knelt down and chucky pushed her into the knives.. but come on this one was terrible.. dude just stayed there chatting with blondie.. and she was all afraid of a 2ft doll lol... and the other boy with the taser... oh my God just stood there instead of beating chucky to pieces.. but anyway good action scenes too bad cop lady had to go too.. i guess in the end only the the trio kids will survive.

Emotional episode
funnycommentor30 July 2022
First of all, after episode 5 the TV show has changed a lot, because of the new characters. The storyline is kinda well-written. However, I prefer the first part of the show (episode 1-4). It was a kinda emotional episode, because of the kills. There were many kills on that episode and they were totally unexpected and so bloody. Actually, that episode was the most shocking one. Chucky was so violent on that episode. Episode 6, was probably one of the best episodes of the show, so far. Last but not least, the whole story about Tiffany is kinda boring and uninteresting. I mean, there are too many references to the previous movies of the franchise, and it's kinda confusing.

Best episode out yet! Spoiler free

I always find myself saying this with every new Chucky episode, but this episode had me gagging, screaming, cringing, and swooning all in short 45 minutes.

No spoilers but 2 shocking deaths. At least I was shocked. They use a narrative technique few horror movies do where they actually invest time exploring characters and their complexities, only to later murder them for shock value. It sounds like it would be common, but it isn't because it takes away air time from the main characters. I'm glad they did it, it works, I was shocked.

Chucky is hilarious, Miss Tilly is amazing, all plot-lines worked for me and they gay stuff was cute as hell. I can't wait to see where Jake and Devon take their relationship and I wonder who else is going to bite it.

For a second I was lost with all the voodoo stuff. I know it comes from the Chucky franchise and is technically staying faithful to it, but for a moment I was hoping they relied less on it. The mythology is a bit messy and the returning actors deliver some choppy acting. But in the end, it redeemed itself and I have some theories on how this is all going to pan out.

Heavily invested. Love the show. I give it a 10/10 because why not.

Tasty Episode [8/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Chucky Season 1 Episode 6: Episode 5 was amazing and I gave it a rating of 8/10. Andy is back? Nice. So there is only one Chucky doll left and Andy is on a mission to kill it? Andy and the kids now will have to work together, nice. Now that's sweet. Wow, Chucky killed Junior's mother, I definitely didn't expect that, sweet. They actually think that it was death by suicide? Nobody is suspicious that Chucky could have done it? Jake knows it wasnt suicide. Lexy's behavior has changed so much since Chucky tried to kill her. Is that Lexy's redemption? Get her Chucky, get her. Chucky kills two people in one episode? Now that's tasty. Overall a really good episode, my rating is 8/10.

JUST OKAY - (5 stars out of 10)

The stage curtains open ...

This episode was an improvement over the last, but just slightly. I'm still not sure where they are trying to take us with the whole Tiffany/Nica angle since it doesn't fit the rest of the story. It fits with the past, but not the present. I guess I will just have to wait and see. This episode, "Cape Queer", is an obvious homage to the Scorsese directed version of "Cape Fear", and that was a nice draw for this chapter in the overall story.

We rejoin Tiffany and Nica and it becomes more clear what is going on with the knowledge that Chucky has managed to break up his soul and place the pieces into various Good Guy Dolls as well as a piece inside of Nica. However, a flash of red will bring Nica out of his control and back to her normal self. Tiffany is wise to this and confronts her with it. Meanwhile, Jake and his friends find out that it was Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) who called him back in Episode 1, and that he has been searching out the different Chucky dolls along with Kyle (Christine Elise) and destroying them. The episode ends with another death, an important one that shell shocks one of the three friends.

I had a hard time staying invested into this episode too, as things are just not gel'ing like they were before the last episode. It was fun seeing some familiar faces from movies past (even though Jennifer Tilly and Christine Elise are both starting to look pretty rough these days), reprising the characters that we have grown to love. I just, personally, am not feeling it with Tiffany and Nica and wish they had not brought them back ... at least not yet. The one thing that I can say that I did like about this episode was that they are killing off all the errant Chucky's. I hated that "Cult of Chucky" ended with 10 different Chucky's running around, so I am glad to see them cleaning that up.

I can't recommend this one, and I've given it 5 stars out of 10. It just feels like they are trying to cram too much into the first season with older characters etc. Chucky - Season 2 has already been greenlit. They should've saved some of this for then. I have two episodes left to go. I REALLY hope they focus us back in to a great finish.
