Looks like the Giants brought Mummy back in to scare Grundy away from the ball, Ash with key plays early. Glouftsis with some really soft calls, Giants by a goal at quarter-time. Hill creating something out of nothing for the Giants, Toby finishing. Both teams kicking well on goal, with rather low percentage attempts. Mumford really influencing Grundy's impact, as well as getting involved himself, Giants up 10 at the half. They're finding Toby and he's doing the rest, kicking away in the 3rd, but the Pies reply with 3 straight. I find it odd that Maynard wasn't Toby's matchup to begin with, instead of Quaynor. Pendlebury pretty poor here, Finlayson having a big impact in his first game for the season. Not much between them, despite the end margin of 30 to the Giants. The Giants really up for the fight, I'm not sure they can reproduce this and many of the Pies best players disposal not up to scratch here. Not much difference in the numbers, the Pies with 4 more inside 50's and 16 more inside 50 tackles, the Giants a few more scoring shots. Greene probably the difference, with 18 disposals, 5 goals and an assist. Ward 37 disposals, 7 clearances and 5 intercepts. Mumford 17 disposals, 8 clearances, 6 tackles. Finlayson with 4 goals and 2 assists. Ash among the best as well.
