Thank you, Scott
cuddlesatusc2 June 2021
I didn't think he'd be able to top some of his other short films/videos like this, namely my favorite "It's Awesome Baby!" but wow, he really did. Scott is a truly talented man and it's really fun to see how he has grown through these past 4-5 years with him; his first sketch about the internet to the musical and comedic masterpiece he has created today. It's Scott at his most meta talking about a blue rectangle encompassing his videos, and it's true treat to enjoy.

Scott the Woz is a genius
jameshadley-7174719 September 2021
Borderline Forever is one of the best things I have ever watched, packed full of fan service, memorable quotes, amazing jokes, and a superb story, Borderline Forever does not disappoint. The musical numbers do not fail either, Stupid Nintendo Games, Closing In, Might As Well, and the Stupid Nintendo Games Reprise are all greatly written. Nicholas Karr and Garret Williamson also did a fantastic job on the soundtrack. And Scott's friends acting have gotten so much better since A Very Madden 08 Christmas, and it shows with this video.

Best Tv (Or Channel?) movie ever
alpacary1 September 2021
Scott the Woz is one of the most innovative gaming channels out there, most notably innovative for being the first gaming channel with actually funny skits in between game commentary. Sadly, I only recently got into his videos but I guess that's more of a blessing because I still have so much of his content to watch.

He honestly hit it out of the park with this hour long musical comedy, seeing him having directing, writing, and of course starring credits really is a testament to his talent. Sure the production is low budget (It's a youtube movie for god's sake) but it plays the jokes play well with the campy self-awareness.

The performances are unironically very good for the type of humor the film brings across, blending well with the self-aware tone.

The plot is so ridiculous it's near impossible to describe, but basically Scott discovers that there is a blue border around him and he and his friends try to stop it from destroying the world.

Now I'm not even that into gaming and this was a blast. I would like to see a professional film critic review it, they probably wouldn't get it. It was a movie made for the fans jam packed with references to other videos Scott's made.

Your experience with it can be summed up as basically "You're a fan or not." I'm happy to be one of the former.

Scott has outdone himself with this video. It's funny, much like his other videos, and is basically a short movie.

Warning: Spoilers
Every single line in this entire movie was well delivered, funny, and perfectly fit the tone of the scene. I honestly don't know how else I can add onto this.

The Deus ex of YouTube movies
gorgejazzsherman12 October 2021
This movie might be one of the best movies I ever saw. It's better then most high budget production movies. The characters are the same ones we grew to love through out the series and it still has that classic Scott the Woz humor. Plenty of Youtuber and athlete Cameos up for this big movie and it's beautiful. It has a higher production value due to it being a movie but it still feels like a video. Scott has made one of the best movies this year and I wish I could see it for the first time again.

Ps. Its sorta a musical and the songs are bangers.

I made this account to rate this movie, and I feel angry that this site won't let me give it an 11

Generally, I don't count youtube videos in my list of my favorite movies. I love them and I watch them a lot, but their pretty different overall so I'll leave them out.

This was so good I made it an exception.

I like it more then ANY other movie it's my favorite ever, filled to the brim with cool things that come full circle, and it happens so often you only notice it on your 50th time watching it. But that's an overexaduration, in truth I've only watched it about 15 times.

It is SO funny, like illegal levels, and the "action" sequences, are overly pog.

Hey y'all good review here.
masnytadeusz24 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This film/video is amazing it shows the mystery form the start of the series discovered of the blue border or more known as "a shape".

The main character Scott The Woz has so much life and isn't a "overpowered main character that has the best luck in the world" but he finds the cause of the shape that was with him the entire life and tried killing the whole Ohio and accept's it and stops the end of the world by using the power of his... virginity?

There are also his friends that are going through major Changes like Target Employee learning that he can make woopers very well and knowing that he has a Wendy's Employee inside of him, Jeb jab saving the world because he needs to play gex and more friends that i can not list off.

The music is amazing and is always at the spot where it should be, but the only negative about the music is the singer Scott The Woz himself that doesn't mean he can not sing since it was shown in his past video's that he can sing just in this one he seems very awkward.

The amount of action is very big like when Scott enters his own mind and tries to know what causes the blue borderline and when Scott fights with his crew on the space.

The acting is perfect and everyone acts like they should, like for example Target employee acting like an average Target employee.

The references to past video's all makes sense and it isn't out of place like Scott hating chibi-robo ziplash on the 3ds or Scott knowing how to protest or that It's Awesome Baby Collage Hoops doesn't get a mention.

10/10 would consider watching again.

COVER ATHLETE OF MADDEN 09, BREEETTTT FAVVVVVVVVVVVVRE
armaanijaanilikeapaani14 January 2022
Just got around to watching this, did NOT disappoint. The story is hilarious, how Scott took something we originally dismissed in his videos and made it the main antagonist is brilliant. His friends have more of a presence in this movie/special and I love that a lot. The sheer amount of cameos from people like AngryVideoGameNerd, Jschlatt, Gus Johnson, Dashie, and PeanutButterGamer and references to older episodes is amazing. The fact they both got Brett Favre and Vince Young on board with this is spectacular. 10/10, would recommend, BEST SCOTT THE WOZ EPISODE, EVER!

Best YouTube movie I've ever watched.
fptrfhkq3 January 2022
I was on YouTube and looking for something to watch I then this 1 hour movie popped up. I was only going to watch the first 10 minutes but then watched the whole thing. It had inside jokes that I still found funny even though I started watching Scot a few days beforehand and it had hilarious moments that anyone would get. I just want to thank Scot for creating such a masterpiece because YouTube is filled with videos with no love and hart put into them but this had a lot of time and energy put in it so thanks Scot.

A great episode overall. Comedy is on point. The performances of "Closing In" as well as "Stupid Nintendo Games" really does serve to round out the performance.

The only problem is that I stopped paying attention when the whole "Might as well" bit starts, but it gets the one star back by the entire sequence in Scott's head being somehow better than the ending of Shrek 2.

The Pinnacle of Video Game Reviews.
dustineltv23 January 2022
Scott's 200th Episode was really fun. It finally explains the blue border that always appears on-screen in his videos, and that is pretty awesome.

The soundtrack for this is really good, Nick Karr and Garett Williamson did an amazing job, as well as Scott's singing that has largely improved.

This is Cinema.
WaterMeLoan6424 March 2023
In a world that does view movies based on video games or YouTubers fondly, Scott Wozniak delivers a crowd-pleasing masterpiece. I have been a fan of Scott The Woz since 2017. This extended episode serves as a tie-in film to the main series-similar to what most TV Shows of my youth would do! It is a Bigger, Bolder, and more Brilliant Tale of Trust Among Us and the ones Wii don't expect. Great Performances. Great Music. Great Plot Twist. Great Editing. The Walt Disney Studios & Warner Bros. Discovery are shaking in their Boots! Scott Wozniak and co. Are some of the funniest and most creative people in the industry today-I can't wait to see what they do next!

A Budget Brilliance
liambennicoff17 September 2021
This Movie in theaters would not be as big of a success but the low Budget and nature of this masterpiece give you a reason to watch it. It shows what a small crew and budget are capable of doing under the right director, and I can see Scott, developing even for superb movies given a larger cast and Money for staging the film.

A greatly enjoyable comedy with a profound underlying message
0lisaurus22 December 2022
From the beginning, Scott the Woz has positioned himself as a YouTuber unlike most others on the platform, showcasing a deep love and passion for video games in combination with clever writing, a unique comedy style, and a dedication to high quality and production value across his uploads. Whether it's traveling to a Bed Bath and Beyond at night to stand in the rain holding up a bar of soap, having entire pounds of dog food dumped over his head, strapping a Wii remote to a spinning fan, or having someone snap a MacBook in half over their knee, the lengths to which Scott is willing to go for a joke is unlike anything I've seen from any other YouTuber.

"Borderline Forever" is a culmination of all of that, and then some. It's clear this was a passion project of his, meant to be filmed with his friends for fun, and it's not meant to be taken incredibly seriously, but beneath the rocket ship made from Wii games, the Pepto-Bismol sword, and the blue border that terrorizes residents of Ohio, there's an underlying message about the struggles of being an artist that's impossible for me to ignore.

It's notoriously difficult to be an artist with the intention of monetizing your art, making the art that showcases your passions while also remaining consumable for a wide audience and palatable for advertisers. Combined with the cutthroat industry that is YouTube and popularity/relevancy that's quite volatile and can change at a moments notice, it's very easy to find a niche that gets you views and stick to it. Scott has made it clear- and continues to make clear through "Borderline Forever"- that he doesn't want to blend in with the highly saturated crowd of video game YouTubers. And since an artist is their own biggest critic, it can become difficult to ignore the tropes you fall into, the jokes you repeat, and the themes and topics you return to as a safety net once you notice them. It's easy to then begin to feel like you've become trapped by your art, like you need to create out of obligation, like you need to follow the tried and true format, even if you want to try new and riskier things, because "tried and true" at least guarantees a paycheck.

This video is an exploration of that, and likely a way of making peace with it as well. An hour long video based around the colored border that surrounds your content that involves a trip to space, a cry for help on a public access daytime talk show, the Green Bay Packers, and several musical numbers is a ballsy move, being such a stray from the typical format of a Scott the Woz episode. And yet, despite that, it still feels so uniquely Scott the Woz; no other YouTuber could've created this video. It's a delightful break from tradition, and I can only imagine how simultaneously fun and stressful it must've been for him to create this. Scott is without a doubt a breath of fresh air for the platform, and it's really inspiring to see creators with this amount of passion making the best videos they can.

One thing's for sure when it comes to Scott the Woz content: your expectations will always be too low for the videos he puts out. Yes, he's a video game YouTuber and a Nintendo fanboy, but those are very rarely, if ever, the only things you get from a typical episode. I definitely did not expect something like this when I first started watching his videos- I thought I'd just be getting some well-thought out commentary on games I like- but this is the same guy who makes 45 minutes worth of discussion on game packaging genuinely entertaining and engaging to watch. This is a pleasantly surprising piece of work, and I'm so very thankful he decided it was something worth sharing.

Incredible
tealrjteal14 June 2022
As someone who loves Scott The Woz and thinks it's one of the greatest shows, not just on the internet but in general, this has to be, by far, the best video he's made and maybe even one of the best videos on the internet. I'd recommend it to anyone (except my dad). I recommend watching his other specials, (especially episode 100, Mysteries In Gaming, and the Christmas episodes) before watching this, but even without that knowledge this would still be a fantastic watch. 10/10.

Honestly the best piece of media ever created save maybe Gex, it did wonders for the economy.

Ok all stupid jokes aside this is amazing I always love it when Scott's friends come in and it's a joy to watch so I was extremely happy to see an hour of that and it was just fun the whole time through 11/10 have watched it again already.

Peter Parker makes a Musical about Shapes
jamieoconnortl23 March 2023
Wow i can't believe my favourite white guy with brown hair and glasses made a cinema quality film about a rectangle, truly a miracle of the 21st century. Bravo Scott.

My favourite part had to be when they were fighting football players in space with Pepto Bismol swords, that really captured the raw, unbridled action that we have come to expect and have been spoiled with in recent years. A fight scene to rival Endgame and Infinity war and the Cold War.

Very impressed that they got Tom Holland's cousin in to play a Nintendo Fan, very good casting, perfectly played the quintessential white guy.

Best film of all time 10/10.
