Building Hope During A Pandemic
Tected3 December 2021
Can we successfully navigate the new health protocols and still continue to enjoy life? Can we still be entertained in a communal environment and have these shared mutual experiences without a super spreader event? Will small town America survive?

These are questions that are answered by Dave Chappelle in "Untitled". A look into how difficult it has been to navigate the ever changing landscape of pandemic America for everyone. Our entertainers want nothing more that to entertain and take their and our minds off the burden of Covid-19. Dave shows us in "Untitled" how far he and his amazing team had to go to make us laugh.

An emotionally stirring examination of how we try to keep moving forward. The film examines America during the early day's of the pandemic induced public health mandates and learning how to continue with the changes that happened in daily life.

As for the "concert/show". Well done. Jeff Ross, several amazing comedians, special music guests that were phenomenal and then a set with Dave. Not only did we get a set, we also got a chance to just hear him talk for a bit and explain. I'm sure the final release of "Untitled" will be a cut of the film intersected with moments from the road show as they brought deeper meaning to "Untitled".

Black Lives Matter and comedy heals
R0B0TST0P22 November 2021
Attended a screening in Atlanta where we were treated to quite a show. Of course it in no way impacts the doc itself but it was a great time. My wife and I loved the whole experience. The film touches on what makes comedy (and human interaction) so important, but it also highlights some very real issues in a very emotional and touching way.

8 minutes and 46 seconds... really opened my eyes.

See it for yourself when it's eventually released. It's a joy, and absolutely a UNITING film.

Live comedy in 2020? Look to the cornfield
den-177-92393018 November 2021
This documentary takes a deep dive into the series of live comedy shows mounted by Dave Chappelle in his adopted hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio during the summer of 2020. Literally performed in a field, the series of socially distant all star comedy shows featured many of Chappelle's famous friends from stand up, music and performance. Directed by Oscar award winning documentarians Julia Reichert and Steven Bognar, this film is a moving look at Chappelle and friends as they navigate their way through Covid 19, what it means to create art in the face of global upheaval and the healing power that laughter can bring to a struggling community.

Phenomenal Night & Movie
allikremer29 November 2021
My husband and I flew to DC from AZ to go to the show. We had an entirely different experience than the other review from Capital One Arena. Instructions and what to expect we're very clear. We had our actual tickets that were sent to us and walked right in around 6:30p. The entire show was great and the documentary created a vast range of emotions from laughing to crying to literal heart-hurting memories to hopefulness . Dave is a true artist who articulated the experiences and emotions most everyone went through during this timeframe perfectly!!

To be able to see how he affected so many peoples' lives positively during such a sad time makes me respect him even more than I already did.

Once the film ended, Dave came out and spoke for a little bit and then introduced Erykah Badu & EU, both in which he interacted and jammed with both of them making it a very nice evening with plenty of Dave.

I will continue to support Dave Chappelle & can't wait to purchase the movie once out for everyone to see!

Incredible film for the new generation
Worth every minute to gain knowledge, wisdom, of what happens to survivors of Covid-19. Beating the odds, and still able to laugh through a lot of pain endured.

Too late(?)
adverts14 February 2023
Saw this in DC. The problem is that it was was released AFTER the vaccine was released. I wanted to forget about Covid and the previous year! Reviewers mention how "uniting" the documentary is -- but people were getting vaccinated and things were slowly retuning to normal - so what do we need this for? Perhaps that's one reason that - in February 2023 - the documentary still has not been released to the general public.

It was entertaining enough, but nothing fantastic humor-wise. Dave came on stage after (not for very long) - and missed an opportunity to tell people "get the jab". Not his style maybe....

Poor Show
kaarph24 November 2021
I drove 1 hour and had another 30 mins to find parking.

The Capital Arena was poorly organized. Those that bought tickets online were separated into another line to get physical tickets. So the line was extra long and the show started before sitting. WTF happened to scanning electronic tickets.

I can't believe I paid $300+ for a movie. I was really expecting to see Dave perform, but I got a movie (documentary). I was expecting a comedy show, I got a documentary.

Still waited for Dave. Had Erika Badu instead. Not knocking her, but I didn't go there to see her.

Dave performed maybe 15 mins.

Hate to say this but Dave was the last person I expected this from. He really played the Goth-a B joke on me.
