In 2017, like a lot of Louis C.K. fans, filmmaker Caroline Suh wasn’t sure what to make of the allegations of sexual misconduct against the comedian that were detailed in a New York Times story. The report included female comics’ accounts of C.K. exposing himself to them, which he admitted to, and led FX, Netflix and C.K.’s management company, 3Arts, to drop him.
“I watched his show religiously,” Suh says. “And when the article came out, I was surprised and honestly thought, ‘Is it really that bad that he should be banished from the scene?’ I didn’t really know how to think about it.”
Nearly six years later, now that C.K. has sold out Madison Square Garden and won two Grammys for his comedy albums, Suh and her co-director, Cara Mones, interrogate questions about sex and power raised by the comic’s downfall and comeback in their new documentary,...

https://twitter.com/kpopBrasiloffi/status/1690185308933865472Tom Brady is a #GirlDad with dad jokes!
The seven-time Super Bowl champion was spotted at a Blackpink concert Friday night at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where he chaperoned his 10-year-old daughter, Vivian, and her friends. No doubt the kiddo and her crew had a blast soaking up the K-pop sensation — comprised of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa — at the sold-out concert.
As for Brady, he looked like every other dad accompanying their child to a concert. He was photographed by a fan standing and looking up at the stage. He donned a black hat with his “TB” logo and a white T-shirt.
While he managed to avoid looking like all the other meme-worthy dads waiting for their daughters to exit a concert, Brady — who shares Benjamin, 13, and Vivian with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen — still found a way to poke fun at himself.

There’s something meta about having a K-pop idol play a role in a show about the music industry and its “dark side” and then barely having her on the show. When it was announced that Jennie from Blackpink would be debuting her acting career in an HBO Max show starring The Weeknd, Lily Rose-Depp, and Troye Sivan, everyone was reeling with excitement. It’s not as if Blackpink hasn’t already taken over the world, but as a Hollywood series with such big names, it only made sense that this would be the next step for the global superstars. Unfortunately, soon enough, there were rumors about the show, and the Rolling Stone article completely changed the trajectory of the show. To be fair, it was already changed at this point when Sam Levinson came on board and allegedly cut down on all of Dyanne’s parts in the show.

Angèle knows you might not know her songs — or understand them — and she’s Ok with that. This weekend, the Belgian pop star is performing a string of shows at New York City’s Terminal 5, wrapping her productive and eye-opening first-ever tour of the U.S.
Back home, she’s used to filling arenas with fans who want to hear her French-language pop hits. To put her level of stardom into perspective, she recently sold a total of 70,000 tickets across two shows in Paris. (That’s the equivalent of 3.5 Madison Square Gardens.

Last March, 25-year-old Kiana Fazeli was at the library studying for the MCATs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., prepping for medical school applications. "I was honestly kind of depressed," she remembers. "It was a very, very lonely time for me."
Then, the YouTube algorithm surfaced a video for Stray Kids, a K-pop group, and a member, whom she now knows as Felix, caught her attention. She wondered: "Who is this handsome fellow?" She started poring over Stray Kids's TikToks and music videos and learning more about the eight-member group. That snowballed into Fazeli getting into BTS after watching their vacation docuseries, "In the Soop [Forest]," and their variety show, "Run BTS."

Every time Blackpink has performed on stage at Coachella, it has been a history-making event. Their debut appearance there, on the Sahara stage back in 2019, marked the first time that a K-pop girl group performed on any of the festival’s stages. Fast forward four years, and the four-piece supergroup took the main stage for two weekends in a row to become the first K-pop group to be named headliners in Coachella’s 24-year history. Now that the event has wrapped for the year, Blackpink are finally taking it all in.

The 2023 Brit Awards are taking place this Saturday 11 February at the O2 Arena in London.
The full list of nominations were announced in January, and revealed one of the most eclectic lists of nominees in recent memory.
Recent Grammy winners Wet Leg emerged as one of the most-nominated acts with four nods, alongside regular Brits attendee and Grammy Album of the Year winner, Harry Styles.
Other acts up for some of the night’s top prizes include rapper Stormzy, rock band Arctic Monkeys, and The 1975.
In the international categories, Irish rock group Fontaines DC can be found muscling up against K-pop stars Blackpink and hip-hop artists Drake and 21 Savage.
The Artist of the Year category faced widespread criticism after being entirely dominated by male acts, just one year after the Brits scrapped gendered categories.
On the night, live performances will come from artists including Stormzy, Lizzo, Harry Styles and Wet Leg.
