I remember this episode from my childhood and came across it again as an adult when my friend's son was watching it. It starts off in typical I Am Weasel fashion - with an odd occurrence. In this case, it was a talking banana that got scared about being eaten (maybe this is where the idea for "Sausage Party" came from?). Weasel befriends this banana and they become good friends. The banana then falls ill and dies. Instead of mourning this poor friend they just throw it in a pie an EAT it.
I understand that banana = food. But the message of this episode is that you should just get over the death of a friend or someone you care about and go on to defile their existence (in this case...by eating them). This episode left a bad taste in my mouth, pardon the pun. It is the only episode that I can remember from this series that I disliked. The fact still remains many years later.
