Horror has been in Canada's snow for decades now, starting with the classic Cannibal Girls and Black Christmasin the early '70s, through the classic early Cronenberg years of Shivers, Rabid and The Brood in the late '70s. In the '80s, we got films like Prom Night, My Bloody Valentine and The Gate. In the past decade, we've had flicks like the Ginger Snaps series, Cube and PontyPool. In fact, you could even count the last three Dead movies by George A. Romero as Canadian — after all, he is a Canadian citizen now and made all three films in Toronto.

You may not be familiar with Ryan M. Andrews yet, but you might as well start studying up on this young up and coming presence. With projects like Black Eve starring Veronika London, Neil Green, Emily Schooley, and Suzanne Serwatuk or A New Design with Kate Goodwin and Sean Ballantyne or the short film The Devil Walks Among You with Robert Nolan as none other then the Devil, Ryan M. Andrews seems to be ensuring a bright career in the indie horror world with all of these projects that are either completed or are in post production. We asked him about what he is doing, what he will be doing and his overall career to date. Here is what he had to say.

Neil Green is a producer, scriptwriter, and a graduate of York University. Green got into filmmaking early after graduation and his first script, Highway, was produced by Kevin Lane. Green is also a music maker and founder of the hip-hop group Hit N' Run, which has worked with G Unit. Very versatile, this Canadian impresario takes some time out from a busy life in the entertainment industry to talk about his latest horror project, which he stars in, produced and wrote, Black Eve (and others). Green also talks about the Jamaican Posse, a Toronto gang, and their influence in his writing.
