This miniseries was one I've known about for ages and am only getting around to watching now. I guess this first episode is okay for the time it was made and released in, but I was definitely expecting more. For a legendary documentary series about a legendary and endlessly interesting band, this episode looking at their very earliest days just didn't really grab me, nor felt like much more than background noise.
I'm hoping that the other installments will be better and/or more detailed, because this first episode easily covers the longest amount of time, and probably has less archival material to work with. It kind of got the job done as far as introductions go, but I was definitely underwhelmed.
