The first half of this episode is almost solely focused on James' arrival and his first meeting with Donna.Ringo unfortunately seems to be channelling Zeke, coming across as slightly patronising and refusing to let Donna make up her own mind.We do at least get an explanation for why James appears to be older than Donna although not for where he was during his father's relationship with Cassandra. His decision to turn round and tell Donna about his conversation with Ringo after earlier hiding it does get alarm bells ringing though. Donna's "Oh, I didn't tell you about that" when she lets things slip to Elle is a brilliant moment. And there's some nice misdirection when Ringo appears to be talking to Libby about James when in fact they're discussing MacBeth.
The rest of the episode focuses on the question of who Sonya is and how she knows Lucas.Callum walking in on Toadie and Libby's conversation is a nice moment and as he said Libby's attempts to get rid of him were woefully inept. The scene of him and Toadie spying in the park is quite good but unfortunately Toadie decides to jump to conclusions.
