I found this episode to be a just a tad underwhelming from a storytelling perspective.
Maybe it is the American in me watching but I don't know exactly what this birth alert system is, so it was hard for me to be truly engaged in the story.
It seemed to be another one of the season 3 political jabs this show is doing, which is fine and I don't mind as long as the storytelling is good. When that suffers I get disappointed and I think that was the case again here.
It did not seem like Marcie's team had the strongest case laid out, it seemed like a lot of was played on emotions. I also doubt a judge would make a statement about ignoring protocol because of systemic racism while seated on the bench.
