Hot & Spicy Balls” – that’s the charming title of the first episode of the new Hulu dating series Hotties. Two couples, each on a blind date, are asked to cook (meat)balls in a cramped food truck parked in the baking California desert. While they’re at it, the couples ingest increasingly spicy foods so red-hot that one contestant actually vomits. “This isn’t just another dating show or a cooking competition,” boasts the host, as though she has some secret reason to believe I am sick of those things. “We Frankenstein-ed them together to create a brand-new beast.” Who says romance is dead?
Definitely not the creators of Cosmic Love. The premise of that new Amazon astrology show is that a talking “being” called “the Astro Chamber” – think Synergy, the purple AI from the Eighties kids cartoon Jem – uses birth charts to “go deeper” than sun signs to find...

We can’t wait to hear Joe Pesci say the title of his new show: The Oscar winner (GoodFellas, My Cousin Vinny) has signed on to costar in Pete Davidson’s Peacock comedy Bupkis, the streamer announced on Thursday.
Pesci will play the grandfather of Davidson’s character, joining Edie Falco, who was previously cast as Pete’s mother. The half-hour comedy is a fictionalized take on Davidson’s real life that “will combine grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known,” per the official description.

Dating can be awkward at the best of times; now imagine your brother or sister there to watch your every move. That’s the concept behind the new Netflix reality series Dated & Related, which is set to premiere on Friday, September 2. The series will see a group of singles living in a luxury villa in the south of France in the hopes of finding love. The catch? Each person is joined by their sibling, who is also looking for love. “Having the person who knows you better than anyone should help you navigate the tricky world of dating,” reads the show’s synopsis, but, judging by the trailer, it could also make things that much harder. In the August 4 teaser, we saw cringe-inducing dinner dates, uncomfortable sibling conversations, and plenty of awkward hookups. “Why would anyone do this?” asked host Melinda Berry, which is an entirely valid question. “Because finding love isn’t easy,...
