  • There is one disturbing scene near the beginning where a Chinese soldier riding a horse tumbles with the horse down a flight of stairs. The horse rolls down the stairs and does not appear to be CGI. There are quite a few scenes of what appear to be real horses falling and crashing.

  • Some mild name-calling such as "bastards".

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A woman is held underwater in an attempt to drown her. Many of the fight scenes are intense and dramatic, especially those with weapons. Scenes where kids are in danger or are harmed could freak out younger viewers. The movie is about warlords vs. Shaolin, so there are a lot of civilian as well as monk/soldier casualties
