I'm sorry to have to repeat myself, but I will have to open this comment by saying again what I said about the previous Edward Petherbridge - Harriet Walter Lord Peter Wimsey film, "Strong Poison": it's amazing how quaintly old-fashioned these efforts look compared to the "Poirot" series with David Suchet, which started only two years later (1987-1989): the advancements in filmmaking techniques and production values are most noticeable. Although "Have His Carcase" has a more complicated plot than "Strong Poison", it does not by any means justify nearly 4 HOURS of running time to tell it. The direction is so pedestrian and the pacing is so slow that by the time the mystery is solved, it's hard to muster much remaining interest. There is one very strong scene, in the third of the four episodes, when Peter and Harriet have a quarrel: it's so riveting that you can hardly breathe until it's over. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the rest of the film. *1/2 out of 4.
