I must say at some points I was in a way rooting for Barney and Robin, but yet I am so happy they broke up! I already said I can't stand Robin when she is dating. And they showed in this episode that it was not good for Barney either.

Well fat Barney was a pretty good idea. He actually looked so different with all the weight.

Lily's return as a break upper was also very amusing, but Barney and Robin managed to do it on their own. It was actually a pretty nice scene where they realized they aren't happy.

And the return of the cool Barney was a great moment. Promises us some great future in this show! One thing it looks like we get to see more of Robin's old work!

I really think this is one of the best episodes of the season so far. I think the way Robin and Barney's relationship was developed didn't quite fit with what we'd been shown in the previous seasons about these two characters. Yet, their breakup episode is a genuine example of HIMYM writing team talent, and therefore it must be praised. Even including such an absurd subplot such as Lily's plan to break them up, it still manages to deliver a somehow believable plot in a candid and funny way. Moreover, the return of Barney, ladies man, promises that the show is going to be LEGEN- wait for it - DARY once again (it had been a bit off these last episodes, IMHO)

This is not one of the best ever episodes of How I Met Your Mother, but definitely the top of the list of season 5. It wasn't the storyline, creative dialog, or a fantastic episode all together, but the ending is the best ending to an episode this season, by far.

The storyline is decent and there are good lines in this episode, but Barney becoming the Barnacle again and prowling on every female in Manhatten again is so relieving. Marshall, Lily, and Ted were all good, but the most important characters in this episode were Robin and Barney and its fantastic to see the show back to its legen- wait for it...-dary self!!

I normally love How I Met Your Mother, but this was one of the worst episodes of all time. I'd probably rank it lower than I would the Britney Spears episode. My sister and I actually fast-forwarded through the latter half to see how it ended, simply because the actual episode was so unbearable.

If you are a Robarney fan, this episode was unfortunate enough. But the break-up of this couple was NOT even close to the foremost reason I disliked it. It was, quite simply, bizarre. The off-kilter humor contained in this episode has appeared briefly in others in the past, but in this episode, dominated and detracted from the typical HIMYM humor I've come to enjoy so much.

If you've found the rest of this season enjoyable and believed the show to be stronger than ever prior to this episode, you may not enjoy it. Fortunately, the rest of the season has been so good that I plan on counting this as a fluke and hope to enjoy many more good episodes yet to come.
